Michael Kors set to debut Shopping Muse, an AI shopping assistant from Mastercard company Dynamic Yield

Michael Kors is adopting Shopping Muse, a retail assistant from Dynamic Yield, a Mastercard company.

Michael Kors is the first retailer to make Shopping Muse and its generative AI capabilities available to consumers through an integration on its website in the US.

The aim is to recreate the in-store experience by translating consumers’ colloquial language into tailored product recommendations, meaning consumers can quickly find the perfect look that matches their inquiry as well as their demonstrated behaviour and preferences.

Dynamic Yield CEO Ori Bauer says: “As a trailblazer in ready-to-wear fashion, Michael Kors is a perfect example of how to put our ready to use technology to use.”

“Shopping Muse is helping translate the signature Michael Kors service to the digital world, delivering a satisfying shopping experience as singular and impactful as the brand’s aesthetic.”

Biometric Checkout Programme

Mastercard last week announced the expansion of its Biometric Checkout Programme in Latin America (LAC).

With partners Ingenico, Fulcrum Biometrics, Fujitsu Frontech, and Scanntech, it has launched an in-store biometric payment experience at Tienda Inglesa’s Red Expres in Uruguay.

This is the first Biometric Checkout Programme pilot that allows shoppers to pay with their palms and the second pilot in the LAC region.

Red Expres shoppers can register their information, payment credentials and biometric on-site and  pay for their goods by placing their hand over a sensor at the payment terminal. The programme allows for faster payment and shorter lines at checkout, and integrates with loyalty programmes.

“We are excited to expand our Biometric Checkout Programme further into Latin America with the launch of our pilot programme at Red Expres,” says Federico Cofman, Cluster Lead for Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay, Mastercard.

“Consumers are looking for more choice in how they pay, and thanks to our collaborative innovation, we can deliver more seamless, secure payment experiences.”
