Boxbar Tech teams with Parklife 2024 to deliver world’s largest self-serve auto-pouring festival bar
This past weekend, Boxbar Tech rolled-out what is pitched as the biggest ever self-service, auto-pour festival bar.
This took place at Parklife 2024 in the UK.
In a LinkedIn post, the company said: “What can we say? WOW! Over the weekend, as well as running several other events and venue installations across the country, we teamed up with Parklife and delivered the world’s largest self-serve auto-pouring festival bar dispensing a full drinks menu.”
This featured: 35 terminals, two bars, ten products, including beer, cider, spirit and mixers, Prosecco and the world’s first self-serve automated Aperol Spritz cocktail bar.
Boxbar Tech added: “It’s no secret that the festival industry is going through tough times with costs spiralling out of control.”
“Bar queues and waiting times present a major problem for festivals, burning vital potential revenue and creating a poor customer experience. By bringing in Boxbar for 2024, Parklife were able to speed up service, slash queue times significantly and bring smiles to the faces of their fans.”
“This was the largest ever deployment of its kind and we’d like to take this opportunity to thank Daniel Pirie (Head of Bars, Parklife) for leading the charge, as well as the rest of the team at Parklife and owner Live Nation for being incredible to work alongside these past months.”
It concluded: “Replacing an entire main bar location with self-service technology at a festival of this scale takes a lot of trust in a shared vision. We understand that and can’t wait to see the partnership grow.”
We’re forever blowing bubbles…
Boxbar Tech also recently reported an activation at Premier League club West Ham United’s London Stadium.
The company worked with London Stadium and Delaware North to introduce a 3x self-serve Amstel unit for pre-game and half time pints.
It said: “We made our Premier League debut with West Ham United.”
“Terminal highlights: plug and play: setup in less than ten mins; contains all stock inside, perfect for tight spaces (think concourses and arena floor bars); suitable for outdoor and indoor events; can serve any drink type: beer, cider, spirit and mixer, cocktails; fully branded to leverage sponsorship; no expensive setup costs.”
This followed deployments for teams and stadiums in Premiership Rugby and the EFL Championship.
