Pricer notches up electronic shelf labels first with Plaza available on Google Cloud Marketplace

In-store automation and communication solutions provider, Pricer, has announced its availability on Google Cloud Marketplace.

It lays claim to being one of the first electronic shelf label (ESL) providers to be listed on the platform.

The listing follows the announcement of Pricer's collaboration with Google Cloud last month.

Peter Ward, UK Country Manager at Pricer, comments: “Bricks and mortar retailers know that success in turbulent market conditions - underscored with rising cost bases across labour, rates and rents - means having to deliver nothing short of operational excellence within the store.”

“With our listing on Google Cloud Marketplace, retailers can quickly deploy, integrate and seamlessly run the in-store solutions, leveraging automation to drive the efficiency and productivity gains needed to elevate store performance.”

“Bringing Pricer Plaza to Google Cloud Marketplace will help customers quickly deploy, manage and grow Pricer’s ESL solutions on Google Cloud's trusted, global infrastructure," says Dai Vu, Managing Director, Marketplace & ISV GTM Programmes at Google Cloud.  "Pricer can now securely scale and support customers on their digital transformation journeys."

“We’re excited to bring Pricer Plaza SaaS solution to Google Cloud Marketplace, enabling retailers to seamlessly integrate advanced in-store automation with the power of Google Cloud,” comments Pricer’s Global Head of Product Ownership, Per Ankar.

“By simplifying procurement, leveraging existing cloud commitments and eliminating the need for complex vendor onboarding, we empower our customers to focus on driving operational efficiency and delivering an exceptional in-store experience.  This listing represents our commitment to helping retailers accelerate their digital transformation with ease.”

2024 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS

Pricer was among the finalists at the sixth edition of the RTIH Innovation Awards.

The awards, sponsored by Vista Technology Support, Scala, CADS, 3D Cloud, Brightpearl by Sage’s Lightning 50, Business France, and Retail Technology Show 2025, celebrate global tech innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.

Our 2024 hall of fame entrants were revealed during an event which took place at RIBA’s 66 Portland Place HQ in Central London on 21st November, and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by comedian Lucy Porter.

In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “The event is now into its sixth year and what a journey it has been. The awards started life as an online only affair during the Covid outbreak, before launching as a small scale in real life event and growing year on year to the point where we’re now selling out this fine, historic venue.”

He added: “Congratulations to all of our finalists. Many submissions did not make it through to the final stage, and getting to this point is no mean feat. Checkout-free stores, automated supply chains, immersive experiences, on-demand delivery, next generation loyalty offerings, inclusive retail, green technology. We’ve got all the cool stuff covered this evening.”

“But just importantly we’ve got lots of great examples of companies taking innovative tech and making it usable in everyday operations - resulting in more efficiency and profitability in all areas.”

Congratulations to our 2024 winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Lucy Porter, and all those who attended November's gathering.
