Wincanton announces extension of partnership with ethically sourced homeware retailer Nkuku
British logistics provider Wincanton has extended its omnichannel partnership with ethical homeware retailer and certified B Corp Nkuku for another five years.
Under the new deal, Wincanton will continue to provide B2B and B2C fulfilment services from its facility in Northamptonshire. This includes the receipt of stock, storage and dispatch of goods directly to Nkuku’s e-commerce customers and high street retailers.
The tie up began in 2022 and helped deliver Nkuku’s highest performance and volume in 2024, with Wincanton processing more than 135,000 orders for the brand and achieving 95% on-time delivery.
Carl Moore, Managing Director of eFulfilment, at Wincanton, says: “We are delighted to extend our relationship with such a fast-growing brand like Nkuku, which has become one of the UK’s most purpose-driven retailers.”
“Our partnership has a strong cultural fit and is truly collaborative, and we look forward to supporting the company’s ethical and environmental commitments through our own ongoing investment in sustainable operations. Together, we’re building a resilient platform for growth to support Nkuku’s ambitions.”
Chris Wilson, Operations and Impact Director at Nkuku, adds: “Wincanton has consistently delivered outstanding service over the past three years, and we are thrilled to be extending our partnership for a further five years.”
“Their team has developed a deep understanding of Nkuku’s operational needs, and together we’ve built a seamless, collaborative relationship. This renewed commitment reflects the strength of our shared values and the success of working as one integrated team to deliver on our supply chain ambitions.”
The news follows shortly after Wincanton secured a new contract with KAYALI to provide B2B fulfilment services for the fragrance brand. KAYALI will tap Wincanton’s expertise in providing fast growing brands with fulfilment services, particularly during vital peak periods. Services will be based at the latter’s specialist facility in Northampton.
2025 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS
Omnichannel retail will be a key focus area at the 2025 RTIH Innovation Awards.
The awards. which will open for entries in April, celebrate global tech innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.
Our 2024 hall of fame entrants were revealed during an event which took place at RIBA’s 66 Portland Place HQ in Central London on 21st November, and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by comedian Lucy Porter.
In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “The event is now into its sixth year and what a journey it has been. The awards started life as an online only affair during the Covid outbreak, before launching as a small scale in real life event and growing year on year to the point where we’re now selling out this fine, historic venue.”
He added: “Congratulations to all of our finalists. Many submissions did not make it through to the final stage, and getting to this point is no mean feat. Checkout-free stores, automated supply chains, immersive experiences, on-demand delivery, next generation loyalty offerings, inclusive retail, green technology. We’ve got all the cool stuff covered this evening.”
“But just importantly we’ve got lots of great examples of companies taking innovative tech and making it usable in everyday operations - resulting in more efficiency and profitability in all areas.”
Congratulations to our 2024 winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Lucy Porter, and all those who attended November's gathering.
