$20 million…Product visualisation software platform venture, Threekit, has closed a $20 million Series A round led by Shasta Ventures. 

5…Running shoes and clothing brand ASICS has announced the five growth stage startups selected to be part of its TENKAN-TEN development programme. These are Fun With Balls, Waybetter, Racecheck, MATCHi and OME Health.

7 million…Almost seven million Asda shoppers could abandon the supermarket over their treatment of workers, according to research by Survation for the GMB union.

$3.3 billionAlibaba Group has invested $3.3 billion in Cainiao Smart Logistics Network, increasing the Chinese e-commerce giant’s stake in its shipping affiliate to 63% from 51%.

4.9%UK high street retailers were hit hard in October, with the wet and wintery weather putting off many consumers from venturing out to the shops, according to research from the BRC and Springboard.

The drop in overall footfall of -3.2% was the worst result for October in seven years. High street footfall, meanwhile, saw a far steeper rate of decline than September, at 4.9%. This was steeper than the three-month average of 2.8%.
