Marks and Spencer taps Go Instore tech for video retail move
M&S has launched a video chat service for online shoppers, linking them to sofa experts in-store.
It partnered with Go InStore and Appointedd on this.
The experts will walk customers around the M&S White City, London store, helping them to browse the retailer’s ranges and showing them fabrics, colours etc. They will be available 9am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday.
“So pleased to have launched our pilot. Three weeks from start to go live, to launch an on demand and pre-booked furniture service with our colleagues in White City,” Clive Hudson, Senior Programme Manager Digital Stores at M&S, says in a LinkedIn post.
”Demand and feedback has exceeded all expectations. A great achievement from a small cross functional team, delivered under our 10x Digital Stores Programme.”
Check out how to give the service a whirl here.

“Sometimes you have to pinch yourself,” says Jeremy Dodd, Head of Business Development at Go Instore.
“I've known the M&S team for several years; they serve as an utter inspiration as a huge heritage retailer who can move fast and dance.”
He adds: “Video retail is no longer a 'concept'. It's a thing, yeah?”
