Vudoo appoints Google veteran Billy Kinchin as Chief Product Officer as it grows global footprint

Vudoo, a content commerce and in-stream checkout specialist, has announced the appointment of Billy Kinchin as global Chief Product Officer.

Reporting to CEO Nick Morgan, Kinchin will oversee the firm’s product strategy and development.

His responsibilities will include aligning Vudoo's offerings with the evolving needs of the advertising technology and e-commerce space, as well as ensuring its solutions provide high value and relevance to its global clients.

Kinchin spent more than 15 years at Google, where he held a number of strategic engineering and product roles across the UK and APAC regions. Prior to Vudoo, he served as the head of APAC at Oovvuu, a publishing technology scale-up.

"Billy's extensive product experience, strategic mindset, and passion for technology will make him an invaluable asset to our company,” says Morgan.

“His expertise is perfectly aligned with our mission to help clients benefit from the new paradigm shift in advertising and e-commerce towards off platform ‘retail everywhere’ shopping experiences driven by the likes of TikTok and Amazon Anywhere.”

Kinchin says: "Vudoo is shaping a new content commerce category with its unique technology which takes advertising and elevates it to harness the power of e-commerce.”

“I'm looking forward to helping the industry extract more value from video so advertisers, publishers and consumers can get the full benefit of these next-generation e-commerce experiences."

Founded in Australia, Vudoo has established partnerships with publishers including News Corp, Are Media and New Zealand Media and Entertainment (NZME). Other clients include Forever New, S&P Global and Kohler, with the company facilitating executions in campaigns across brands such as Hilton, Samsung, Moët & Chandon, Burberry, Dyson, Lexus, Hotel Clicquot and Sunday Riley.

In 2023, Vudoo expanded its operations into the North American market, also opening an office in London and making a number of senior appointments.
