Mexican retailer Grupo Comercial Control preps roll-out of Blue Yonder Category Management solution
Grupo Comercial Control is set to deploy Blue Yonder Category Management to address a gap in its retail operations and gain the ability to create planograms that offer a better shopper experience by minimising out-of-stock products. The project will be managed by GOLDCO, a Blue Yonder partner.
Grupo Comercial Control has more than 60 years of department store experience through the Del Sol and Woolworth brands, as well as Noreste Grill restaurants.
It has 120+ stores across 70 cities in 25 Mexican states and currently utilises several Blue Yonder solutions, including Demand Planning and Allocation & Replenishment, as part of its digitalisation and optimisation strategy for its operations.
“We were seeking a solution to help us enhance the analysis of our product categories against the industry challenges and changing consumer demand,” says Antonio Palos, Sub Director, Central Office, Grupo Comercial Control.
“Blue Yonder’s category management solution allows us to complement and improve our assortment proposal for our different categories and customer segments.”
“We are looking forward to implementing the solution so we can become more agile in our stores and to simplify the processes for our employees in turn, improving their work environment and giving them the ability to focus on pleasing our customers.”
“As an established partner of Blue Yonder, partnering with Grupo Comercial Control was important given the strategic vision they have. We are excited to see the impact this solution will have on their business,” says Jorge Mosqueda, Practice Director, GOLDCO.
“We will continue to support Grupo Comercial Control during this process and look forward to seeing how our partnership can achieve more ambitious goals in the coming years.”
“We are excited to be working with Grupo Comercial Control on their category and assortment transformation journey.”
“Once fully implemented, our Blue Yonder solution will offer them the ability to create and analyse various planogram views, allowing them to calculate before and after recommendations and facilitate a comparison between current and proposed assortments.”
“This will ensure they have the right inventory on the right shelves at the right stores to meet the changing needs of their consumers,” says Albert Jung, Senior Director, Retail - LATAM, Blue Yonder.
