UK omnichannel home décor brand Lick selects NetSuite as its global enterprise resource planning system

Lick, a UK headquartered home décor brand, is using Oracle NetSuite.

With the tech, it has been able to take advantage of an integrated business suite to automate and consolidate financial processes, gain a clearer view across its growing international operations, and optimise its management of inventory and working capital.

Launched in 2019, Lick has established itself as a multi-million pound, multi-channel business, helping customers in the UK, Europe and the US transform their homes with its range of paint, wallpaper, and decorating tools.

As home decoration surged during the pandemic, Lick’s disconnected inventory and finance software systems struggled to keep pace with demand and burdened team members with time-consuming manual workarounds.

To simplify and scale its growing international operations, expand visibility, and gain greater control over inventory and costs, it selected NetSuite as its global enterprise resource planning (ERP) system

“As we’ve grown and become more complex, we needed a fully integrated system to increase efficiency as we scale operations,” says Lucas London, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder, Lick.

“The future for us is to build the biggest decorating community and brand in the world, and NetSuite will be a big part of that as we scale. With NetSuite, information is consolidated and available in real time, which helps us reduce costs and make better, faster decisions.”

Lick has consolidated and automated its operations by integrating financial information, inventory management, order processing, and reporting data, helping gain a more comprehensive and accurate view into its business performance.

It has also streamlined its tax, reporting, and currency processing requirements across its subsidiaries using NetSuite OneWorld.

In addition, NetSuite has enabled it to manage inventory and sales from across its multichannel ecosystem, with direct connections to third parties to further improve the accuracy of inventory reporting and increase stock efficiency.

Moving forward, Lick will use NetSuite to help with demand planning and to manage the data it requires for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting as a certified B Corp.

“Lick is on a mission to build the biggest decorating brand in the world and is in the perfect position to take advantage of the home transformation revolution,” says Nicky Tozer, SVP, EMEA, Oracle NetSuite.

“With NetSuite, Lick has a partner to help capitalise on that opportunity, using a scalable platform to improve visibility, enhance collaboration, and help drive profitable growth.”
