RTIH Innovation Awards: Bricks and mortar retail

RTIH is pleased to announce the shortlists for its first ever Innovation Awards.

There are seven categories in all and we’re kicking things off with Bricks and Mortar Innovation. Runners and riders as follows:

Westfield London 

Westfield London this year unveiled The Trending Store, pitched as the UK’s first ever AI powered fashion boutique.

Puma

Puma has opened a flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York. The 18,000-square-foot space, spanning two levels, is its first bricks and mortar location in the city and the first of its kind in North America. EVRYTHNG and Avery Dennison are responsible for the IoT and RFID technologies behind the store.

Walmart 

A Walmart Neighborhood Market in Levittown, New York, has been transformed into the retailer’s new Intelligent Retail Lab, featuring artificial intelligence-enabled cameras, interactive displays and a massive datacentre.

Samsung

Samsung has launched Samsung KX, its new experience space in King’s Cross, London, which showcases what the company believes to be the future of retail.

McKinsey & Co.

In September, global management consulting firm McKinsey & Co. opened its first ever retail space at Mall of America. The aim of Modern Retail Collective is to test new technologies and analyse shopper behaviour.

adidas

adidas recently opened the doors to its new Oxford Street flagship store. This includes over 100 digital touchpoints, all 100% powered by green energy. 

It’s now over to our judges who will decide the winner, to be announced during December.
