Currys PC World launches ShopLive TV ad campaign
Electrical retailer, Currys PC World, has unveiled a new TV ad campaign to promote its ShopLive video call offering.
The service, which launched in June 2020, connects customers to a video chat with a tech expert.
The 30-second TV spot highlights how easy it is for people to use this tool, and showcases Currys PC World employees in action, rather than actors.
It airs this Thursday on Channel 4 (during The Circle) and Channel 5 (Neighbours and This Week on the Farm), followed by placements on ITV during Midsomer Murders on 28th March.
It is also running on Video on demand (Catch-up TV and online video platforms) and YouTube.
Corin Mills, Head of Brand, Comms and Planning at Currys PC World, says: “We offer real guidance from real life tech experts and nothing beats talking to a real person when it comes to tech advice.”
“Whether it’s general buying advice or a question on a product feature, you can quickly and easily chat to one of our trusted store colleagues via video call on our ShopLive service from the comfort of your own home.”
He adds: “Our new TV advert, airing in living rooms across the UK from the 24th March to 6th April, showcases our brilliant store colleagues in action.”
“One of our experts even proclaims, ‘yes I am human’ – a reminder that we are using real ‘tech-perts’, rather than just your average AI chatbot.”
