Bestseller enlists Voyado to manage customer data, communication, loyalty programmes in one omnichannel environment

Voyado has announced a partnership with Bestseller to help it drive increased customer loyalty and deliver hyper-personalised experiences across all touchpoints.

Bestseller operates more than 20 brands, including JACK & JONES, Vero Moda, and Only.

These brands offer clothing and accessories for women, men, teenagers, and children in more than 16,000 multi-brand and department stores and approximately 3,000 branded Bestseller retail stores around the world.

This includes 70 countries in America, Asia, Europe, Oceania, and the Middle East.

Steffen Simonsen, Head of Brand Tech, says: "The initial scope of our project was to acquire a loyalty management solution to integrate with our existing marketing automation platform.”

“However, we quickly saw the power of Voyado's unified solution to manage the loyalty programme and leverage the loyalty mechanisms seamlessly in our customer communication across all channels.”

"We realised that to be successful with our loyalty initiative, it would be critical to enable our users to get insights and act on all customer data, including loyalty data, as efficiently as possible.”

“This efficiency allows us to turn great ideas in the morning into impactful customer experiences by the afternoon without dependencies from central IT.”

The retailer says it will be able to manage its customer data, communication, and loyalty in one omnichannel environment to drive personalised campaigns through automation and AI segmentation capabilities.

BESTSELLER has started implementing the Voyado platform for all brands. It has thus far gone live with JACK & JONES, Vero Moda, Only, Selected, Vila, Name It, and Noisy May.

Simonsen says: "One key factor in deciding to work with Voyado was not only their retail focus and expertise but also their way of working and approach to partnerships.”

“It was very important for us to find something more than just a software vendor. With Voyado, appreciate the real partnership where both teams work pragmatically to solve problems and deliver value to both organisations."

Karl Stone, Regional VP of Voyado UK & I, says: "This partnership represents not just a milestone in our expansion but a testament to our ability to meet the complex needs of globally recognised brands.”

“Together, we're navigating the multifaceted retail landscape, bringing our shared vision of enhanced customer loyalty and personalised shopping experiences to life.”

ERICA SANDELIN EKELUND

Voyado recently announced its current CFO and EVP of Strategy, Erica Sandelin Ekelund, will take over the role of CEO from Per Åkerberg on 1st June.

She will lead the company's push for growth in the UK, identified as a key market.

Per Åkerberg has been CEO since 2022, when he left his position as Chairman of the Board to become more operational within the company.

He will now return to the board to continue his position in advising on the growth ambitions of the business.

Ekelund’s relationship with Voyado began in 2017, and one of her first acts with the business was securing an investment from Novax.

She was appointed to the role of CFO in 2019 and has taken responsibility for establishing Voyado's growth strategy, which included the acquisitions of Apptus and ReDeal.

Åkerberg said: "I can think of no one better to take the reins of Voyado as we move ahead with our ambitious plans. The last few years, we have enjoyed enormous success with the business developing and evolving at a fast pace, and we're not slowing down.”

“The next few years are all about our continued expansion in international markets and securing strong partnerships with brands and retailers. Erica is the best person to help us realise our strategy and identify even more growth opportunities.”

Ekelund said: "I am incredibly proud to take on the role of CEO at Voyado.”

“From my very first contact with Voyado, I felt that this company had something special that I really wanted to be a part of. It is a fantastic company to continue building and we’re aiming to reach a turnover of one billion next year. I look forward to leading us on this journey."

Johan Bäckarlin, founder of Voyado, said: "As an entrepreneur, it can be difficult to hand over major decisions to someone else, but I have never felt as confident as I do now.”

“Erica's experience, energy, and intuition make her the perfect person to lead Voyado into our next phase. I am very pleased that she is taking on this role."
