Electronics giant Lenovo brings in Dr. Tolga Kurtoglu as CTO and to head up new Emerging Technology Group
Lenovo has appointed Dr. Tolga Kurtoglu as the group’s new Chief Technology Officer, succeeding Dr. Yong Rui.
In addition, Lenovo has announced the formation of a new Emerging Technology Group that will be charged with anticipating emerging trends in technology and turning them into future business growth opportunities.
Rui, who has led the company’s research as CTO for the past seven years, becomes President of the Emerging Technology Group.
Kurtoglu’s CV includes stints as CTO at HP and Global Head at HP Labs, CEO at Xerox Palo Alto Research Center, and lead for the product development group at Dell.
He holds numerous patents and has published multiple papers in the fields of automation and machine intelligence, computational design, systems engineering, and 3D/digital manufacturing.
