Superdrug taps Instagram for Westfield Student Event

A number of big brands are providing exclusive offers and experiences for London students next week as part of the annual Westfield Student Event.

This will take place at Westfield Stratford City on Thursday, 4th October before heading to Westfield London on Friday, 5th October. Students will be able to step into ‘SIMcity’ – an ‘Instagram paradise’ created by Superdrug’s newly-launched mobile network, Superdrug Mobile. Featuring photo opportunities, competitions and surprises, the space will also feature a doughnut-dipping station, enticing people to ‘take a megabyte’ promoting the retailer’s 4GB data deal for £10 a month. 

Other brands offering promotions include Dune, Diesel, Superdry, Accessorize, Ted Baker and NYX Professional Makeup. Myf Ryan, CMO Europe and Group Director of Brand and Strategic Marketing for Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, says: “The Westfield Student Event has always been hugely popular with college and university students across the capital. This year we’re promising even more exciting exclusive experiences and offers across both our London destinations, with a growing number of our retailers seeing the value in taking part. We’re looking forward to welcoming thousands of people through the doors next week for another great event.”

According to research released by Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, the average London student visits one of Westfield’s destinations 94 times a year, spending 82 minutes and over £82 on each occasion: over £6,076 per annum.
