Currys PC World announces branded TikTok competition

Currys PC World has launched its first ever branded hashtag challenge in partnership with social video app TikTok.

Titled #TechTokTips, this encourages TikTokers to reveal their top usage tips for common at home appliances and devices, to be in with the chance of winning a £5,000 tech bundle.

Working with the TikTok team, Currys PC World has identified and partnered with over 20 TikTok creators for launch, who will encourage others to get involved.

According to a press release, “the result will be a host of organic user generated content that can be repurposed by the retail giant on their other social accounts over the next six months”.

Corin Mills, Head of Brand, Comms and Planning at Currys PC World, says: “We’re no strangers to innovation and are incredibly excited to be working alongside TikTok to bring this hashtag challenge to life.”

“Our goal is to get the nation talking about amazing tech and we believe this #TechTokTips hashtag challenge - which is one of the first for the tech retail space - will help inspire people to join the conversation and remind them that we are the go-to experts on all things tech.”

The competition will run from 8th April until 30th April and is open to all UK residents over 18.
