Zara rolls out Store Mode tech across UK stores
Fashion retailer Zara has launched its Store Mode technology across all UK stores, connecting its physical locations with its website and app.
Originally tested in nine London locations, this lets customers check into any UK store online and view the products and sizes that are available in that specific store.
It is also to buy items via Store Mode and pick up in-store on the same day via a Click & Go function. These can be collected using a QR code.
Instagram spat
Zara recently criticised one of its Jewish designers for telling a Palestinian model that his people were uneducated and blew up hospitals.
Vanessa Perilman, the head designer for its women’s department, had posted the comment on Instagram to Qaher Harhash, who is from East Jerusalem.
Perilman initiated the discussion after Harhasht claimed Israel withholds drinking water from Arabs in East Jerusalem while providing it readily to Jews.
“We condemn these comments that do not reflect our core values of respect for one another, and we regret the offence that they have caused,” Zara said in a statement.
