RTIH Top 100 Retail Technology Influencers List: 90 to 81

The latest edition of the RTIH Top 100 Retail Technology Influencers List has arrived! Here are the people who made a splash in 2021 and are set for a barnstorming 2022.

RTIH has scoured the retail technology world to find the most influential figures for this comprehensive list of people and trends that shaped the industry in 2021 and will continue to drive it further in 2022.

2021 was a year like no other. With Covid-19 continuing to drive a seismic change in shopping habits, and the likes of checkout free stores, rapid delivery services, the metaverse and NFTs breaking through to the mainstream, it was one of the most eventful years in the history of retail tech.

And behind all the news headlines stood the people who worked on and contributed to the development of the retail tech space.

Enter the RTIH Top 100 Retail Technology Influencers List. Profiles will be published daily in batches of ten, with this article running through 90 to 81 (check out 100 to 91 here).

Ying Zheng

After stints at both Apple and Google, Ying launched checkout-free stores specialist AiFi in 2016 with fellow Co-founder Steve Gu. 

Fast forward to the present day and the company is working with a wide range of retailers, including Carrefour, Compass Group, Aldi UK, and Choice Market.

It also recently raised $65 million in a Series B funding round.

Alex Richards

Alex is Technology Director at Boohoo Group.

He was a keynote speaker at the recent Smart Retail Tech exhibition/conference, and was also a part of the event’s retail technology awards innovation judging panel.

Sucharita Kodali

Sucharita is a retail analyst at Forrester.

Neil Saunders

How do we identify the top 100?

We use a variety of sources to select our top 100, including feedback from industry observers, research within our own networks, direct or third party nominations via our website, and social media tools.

In addition to social presence, we also take into account award winners, event speakers, books published, media appearances, and people building innovative companies, solutions etc in the retail space.
