All you need is love and connected teams: presenting last week’s biggest retail technology plays
RTIH rounds up the stand out retail systems deals, launches, deployments and pilots from the past seven days. Including Tapestry, Catalyst Brands, Costco Wholesale, Amazon, Tesco, Uber Eats, The Entertainer, REWE, Westfield, Søstrene Grene, Kwik Fill, M&S, and Nobody's Child.
Kwik Fill
Kwik Fill, a 300+ location convenience chain in the USA, has selected PAR Retail as a technology partner to power its new loyalty programme.
“As we evaluated potential partners, PAR Retail stood apart through its vision for the future of convenience retail and its ability to combine guest engagement with actionable AI driven insights,” says Roy Williams, Senior Vice President Marketing at United Refining Company, parent company of Kwik Fill.
“PAR Intelligence was a significant differentiator for our team. We see tremendous opportunity to leverage the platform as we continue enhancing the experiences we deliver to our guests.”
“The convenience retail industry is at an inflection point. More software isn't the answer. Smarter software is," says Savneet Singh, CEO at PAR Technology. “Kwik Fill gets that. They're building their loyalty programme from scratch on PAR Retail, which means every guest relationship and every data point is theirs from day one. PAR Intelligence makes sure they can act on it. That's the difference between a platform that informs and one that drives outcomes.”
The Beatles Story
The Beatles Story tourist attraction in Liverpool has turned to technology normally associated with the retail sector to help keep its teams connected.
Situated at Liverpool’s Royal Albert Dock, it has introduced a wireless headset system, enabling around 30 employees working across admissions, exhibitions, the Fab4 Store, cafés and guest services to communicate with eachother hands free. The move is designed to help staff respond more quickly to visitor requests and coordinate activity across the attraction without having to leave their work areas or interrupt their interactions with guests.
Andy Kelly, Guest Experience Manager at The Beatles Story, says: “The headsets by Quail Digital have changed the way teams, which previously used an outdated radio system, communicate across the attraction. Introducing the Quail Digital headset system was an important step forward in how we support our teams and serve our guests.”
“Clear, fast communication is essential in a dynamic attraction like ours. We have colleagues working across a number of different areas, and the ability to communicate immediately means we can respond to guest needs more quickly and coordinate support without colleagues having to leave their positions.”
“Just as importantly, it supports our colleagues by making their roles more efficient and connected. We’re constantly looking at ways to improve how we work behind the scenes so that the visitor experience remains seamless. The investment in communication technology is part of that.”
Søstrene Grene
Danish retailer Søstrene Grene has invested DKK 380 million in an automated logistics setup in Denmark and the Netherlands, alongside an implementation of SAP technology.
In a LinkedIn post, the retailer said: “Recently, we welcomed Danish business newspaper Børsen to our distribution centre in Aarslev for a closer look at how automation is helping us build for the future. Importantly, automation is not about replacing our employees. They are being trained to take on more specialised tasks, while automation primarily reduces our reliance on seasonal workers during peak periods and creates a safer working environment with less heavy lifting.”
It added: “The automated journey begins as soon as goods arrive at our distribution centre, where an inbound robotic solution receives and sorts them. In our e-commerce operation, mobile robots pick online orders before automated packing solutions prepare them for shipment. This not only makes our operation more efficient but also reduces the amount of packaging and empty space in each box.”
It concluded: “Automation is helping us increase efficiency, reduce CO₂ emissions across our logistics operations and create a better working environment for our employees - with fewer manual tasks and less heavy lifting. With this strong foundation, we are ready to pursue our ambition of reaching 500 stores across markets in the next few years.”
Puresport
Visualsoft reports a partnership with performance wellness brand Puresport, using Shopify POS to power a charity pop-up. Working alongside the Puresport team, it designed and implemented a complete Shopify POS setup ahead of the “Thrift it back” event to raise money for Greenhouse Sports.
This included configuring the PoS environment, synchronising products and inventory with Shopify, enabling Tap to Pay on staff mobile devices and providing training so the team could confidently process transactions throughout the day.
The project also required overcoming a significant operational challenge. With unreliable Wi-Fi across the venue, there was a risk of payment failures and disruption during the event. Visualsoft assessed the site's connectivity ahead of time and recommended improvements to ensure transactions could be processed consistently.
By connecting every sale directly into Shopify, Puresport was able to track sales and fundraising in real-time while eliminating the manual reconciliation often associated with temporary retail events. Customer, payment and inventory data remained connected throughout the activation, providing complete visibility from a single platform.
Antony Hoyland, Director of Sales at Visualsoft, says: "Temporary retail often creates permanent headaches. Brands can find themselves juggling disconnected payment systems, manual stock updates and unreliable connectivity, all of which impact the customer experience. Our aim was to make the technology invisible; consumers don’t want to know it’s there, and shop staff need it to be out of the way. Puresport's team could focus on talking to customers and supporting a fantastic cause, while Shopify POS handled payments, inventory and reporting behind the scenes."
Tapestry
Tapestry is bringing Coach and Kate Spade into Google's AI shopping ecosystem, making products purchasable directly from Google Search, including AI Mode, and the Gemini app. Now, when shoppers discover a Coach or Kate Spade item while using Gemini or AI Mode, a "Buy" button appears inline. After selecting their product, customers can complete checkout in just a few taps using Google Pay. This eliminates the need for website redirects.
"Consumer behaviours are always evolving. At one time, discovery happened in a store window or a magazine. Then, it happened on social media. Now it's happening inside a conversation with AI," says Joanne Crevoiserat, Chief Executive Officer at Tapestry. "Our goal is for shoppers to find and engage with our brands at the moment when inspiration strikes, whether it be when a consumer passes by one of our stores, peruses our websites, or chats with AI.”
Tapestry has implemented the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP), an open industry standard for agentic commerce backed by several tech and e-commerce companies.
"We built this layer to work with our existing operations today, but it's truly protocol agnostic, so we can quickly move into new AI environments as consumer behaviours evolve," says Yang Lu, Chief Information and Digital Officer at Tapestry. "That's possible because of the strategic investments we've made in technology capabilities and infrastructure as well as the strength of our data and consumer insights engine."
UCP powered checkout is now live in the US,, with plans to expand across geographies in the future.
Catalyst Brands
WorkJam, a frontline operations platform, is expanding its partnership with department store JCPenney, part of the Catalyst Brands portfolio.
This covers every brand in the Catalyst portfolio group, including Aéropostale, Brooks Brothers, Lucky Brand, and Nautica, and brings WorkJam's platform to approximately 70,000 associates across North America.
"Serving millions of customers across our unmatched portfolio of iconic brands depends on creating a workforce that is connected, agile, and increasingly AI enabled,” says Andre Joyner, EVP and Chief Human Resources Officer at Catalyst Brands. "We believe the future of work will be defined by how thoughtfully organisations use technology to help associates perform at their best.”
“Through our partnership with WorkJam, we're embedding AI directly into the flow of work, giving associates faster access to needed information, reducing everyday friction, and creating more capacity for managers to lead their teams and serve customers. This expansion reflects our commitment to enabling our talented workforce while deploying AI responsibly and at scale, with the associate experience at the centre of everything we do."
Flipdish
Flipdish, an AI platform for restaurants, reports that independent restaurants throughout the UK and Ireland have placed over 10,000 orders via its AI Phone Agent, resulting in revenues in excess of £230,000.
Initially launched at Dished Live 25 in November, the product (which has helped to facilitate over 13,000 orders to date), was created in response to a common problem restaurants face: phone orders are still an important source of income, but calls are often missed during peak times, meaning potential orders are abandoned.
The AI Phone Agent answers incoming calls, takes orders, suggests appropriate add-on products such as side dishes, and submits the confirmed order right to the Flipdish PoS, KDS or terminal, allowing the operator to receive orders without removing its staff from food preparations and serving customers in-store.
"10,000+ orders and £230k in revenue is a great milestone, but the real win is what it represents. Fewer missed calls, less chaos during peak service, and more orders captured without dragging staff away from the kitchen or the counter,” says Conor McCarthy, Co-Founder and CEO at Flipdish. "Restaurants shouldn't have to choose between answering the phone and looking after the customers in front of them. We built AI Phone Agent to take that pressure off teams. It can take multiple calls and orders at the same time, so revenue keeps coming in even when the restaurant is flat out."
The Entertainer
UK toy retailer, The Entertainer, has appointed THG Commerce, part of THG Ingenuity, as its new digital commerce partner. The multi-year tie up will see THG Commerce design, build and power The Entertainer’s next-generation digital experience, with the aim of creating a more intuitive, inspiring and personalised journey for families, gift buyers and adult toy and collectible enthusiasts.
THG Commerce will deploy AI enabled shopping assistance, conversational discovery and intent led search capabilities to help customers explore thousands of products and find the right choice more intuitively. These capabilities draw on the wider THG Ingenuity collaboration with Google Cloud, which harnesses Vertex AI Commerce Search and Gemini.
Alongside smarter search and discovery, the new experience will bring together richer content, curated product journeys and personalised recommendations to inspire customers throughout the purchasing journey. THG Commerce will deliver a new web and mobile experience, together with an enhanced Click & Collect journey designed to create a more seamless connection between digital discovery and The Entertainer’s nationwide store network.
The new platform is expected to launch in spring 2027 and has been designed to provide a foundation for future opportunities across loyalty, retail media and social commerce as The Entertainer continues to develop its omnichannel customer proposition.
Guess
GXO Logistics and Exotec have deployed Exotec’s Skypod system at GXO's Venlo, Netherlands, facility, home to fashion brand Guess. The installation includes 127 Skypod robots, 60,000 rack locations, eight goods-to-person picking stations and 200 metres of conveyor network. The system is also capable of processing up to 70,000 pieces per day, achieving throughput of up to 2,200 order lines per hour during peak periods.
With the deployment of the automated solution, GXO says it is enhancing fulfilment operations for Guess across EMEA and Asia by increasing throughput, improving productivity and supporting future growth.
Mark Donné, Operations Manager, GXO Venlo, says: "The impact has been evident from day one. Our automated solution with Exotec, tailored specifically for Guess, has helped take our operation to the next level, enabling faster processing, greater predictability and a smoother workflow across the site. As our business with Guess continues to grow, we have the scalability and flexibility needed to support future demand."
Wim Vermeir, Senior Sales Executive Benelux, Exotec, comments: "Fashion logistics doesn't tolerate approximation - high SKU counts, seasonal spikes, and EMEA wide distribution require precision engineering, not off-the-shelf automation. With GXO, we designed a system built specifically for those demands, and the throughput numbers speak for themselves. The result is a highly efficient operation that supports both current performance and future growth."
Westfield
Westfield Rise, Westfield's in-house retail media agency, has launched new audience measurement capabilities across Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City, with the aim of giving advertisers deeper insight into how campaigns influence attention, engagement and store visitation.
The launch is backed by data which found that shoppers exposed to advertising were 27% more likely to visit a brand's store than those who weren't exposed to a campaign. Additional findings include: experiential activations delivered an average dwell time of 1 minute and 28 seconds; nearly one in four visitors engaged with an activation for more than 60 seconds.
Developed in partnership with Digeiz, the measurement solution uses AI powered technology to analyse visitor journeys across shopping centres. The UK launch forms part of a wider roll-out of Westfield Rise’s audience measurement platform across 23 Westfield destinations in Europe.
REWE
REWE, a supermarket chain in Germany and the main brand of REWE Group, has announced a partnership with Uber Eats. In a LinkedIn post, Moritz Bernhard, GM Grocery & Retail - Central & Eastern Europe at Uber, said: “A big milestone for our grocery and retail business in Germany.”
He added: “I’m excited to share that we are launching a new partnership with REWE on Uber Eats. Starting this week in Frankfurt, users will have access to a broad selection of REWE products through the Uber and Uber Eats app. And we have big plans ahead: over the coming months, we’re bringing 60-minute grocery delivery to more than 100 cities across the country.”
He concluded: “A special thank you to E-commerce Director Clemens Uwe Bauer and the entire REWE team for the trust and great collaboration, and to everyone at Uber who worked hard to bring this partnership to life.”
REWE has also gone live with Wolt in Cologne and Just Eat in Hamburg and Jena.
Waitrose
Waitrose has extended its partnership with Trust Retail, a Trust Payments business, for a further five years, taking the relationship through to November 2031 as the supermarket prepares to accelerate the roll-out of Trust Retail’s inventory management technology across its store estate.
The technology was first trialled in a Waitrose store in March 2026 and is now live across eight stores. A wider roll-out is scheduled to begin at the end of September, with approximately 125 stores expected to be live before Christmas and the remaining Waitrose estate scheduled to follow by March 2027.
Trust Retail’s inventory management technology gives Waitrose partners a real-time view of stock, replacing processes that previously relied on batch updates. Transactions are reflected immediately across connected inventory and accounting systems, providing a more accurate and up-to-date view of stock throughout the trading day.
Using handheld devices, store partners can access current inventory information to support day-to-day activities including replenishment, stock management and markdown decisions.
Tesco
Tesco reports the roll-out of its 2,000th electric home delivery van, arriving last week at the retailer’s Hemsworth Superstore in West Yorkshire, where the store runs six of these vans.
Tesco has doubled the number of electric home delivery vans over the last year, with more than 30% of the fleet now powered by electricity. It is looking to transition to a fully electric fleet in the UK by the end of 2030.
Since introducing its first electric home delivery van in Greater London in 2020, its fleet of electric vehicles, powered by renewable electricity, has replaced millions of diesel delivery miles. It announced in October 2025 the deployment of its 1,000th electric home delivery van, which entered service at the Cardiff Extra store.
“The arrival of our 2,000th van at Hemsworth is another important milestone in our journey towards a fully electric home delivery fleet across the UK by 2030. Every new electric van we introduce helps us reduce emissions, improve local air quality and move closer to our goal of achieving net zero in our own operations by 2035. We're proud to be leading the way in the transition to low emissions home delivery for our customers,” says Nick Potter, Transport Distribution Director at Tesco.
El Caficultor
AuraVeo by Koenig & Bauer, in partnership with Appetite Creative, is launching a new connected packaging initiative with coffee brand, El Caficultor, turning coffee packs from a one off retail purchase to a direct sales and subscription channel. The new technology was showcased exclusively at London Packaging Week on 16th–17th September.
Each El Caficultor SKU has a unique code, which, when scanned, unlocks a mobile experience telling the coffee’s origin story, including its farm, altitude, processing method and sensory profile, before presenting the consumer with a discounted subscription offer. The initial roll-out spans El Caficultor’s 100% Arábica line: Cerrado Dulce (Brazil), Sidamo (Ethiopia), La Vereda (Colombia), and hero SKU Selva Negra (Nicaragua).
Through AuraVeo's cloud platform, consumers are guided through an immersive experience detailing cupping scores, varietals, and flavour characteristics, followed by a direct 10% discount on recurring subscription. With consumer consent, every interaction captures first-party data, giving the brand insights into purchasing behaviour across physical retail channels. Unlike static QR codes, AuraVeo's technology allows brands to update the code content without reprinting the packaging. Scans can also be tracked and attributed to the relevant product, giving El Caficultor visibility into how consumers interact with individual products and content.
Rather than placing codes on the back of the pack, Appetite Creative integrated the AuraVeo QR code directly within the front of pack country map illustrations paired with a clear call to action “ESCANEA Y AHORRA” (“Scan and Save”).
David's Bridal
David’s Bridal, a North American bridal and occasion retailer and Pearl, its AI powered platform, have announced the launch of Pearl Connect, pitched as the first AI vendor platform native to a couple’s wedding planning journey, putting everything a professional in this space needs to market, communicate and book into one touchpoint.
“Wedding professionals shouldn’t have to spend their days chasing emails, piecing together details and wondering which leads are actually worth their time,” says Kelly Cook, CEO at David’s Bridal. “We know what couples are planning, what they’re looking for, and where they are in their journey.”
“Pearl Connect puts that context to work for the businesses on the other side of the aisle. We’re simplifying all those disjointed ways of connecting into one place with the goal of removing any friction so wedding professionals can have a more meaningful, real connection with potential couples. It’s a very different way to think about a wedding vendor marketplace - it’s about vendor listings, it’s about creating real connections that can lead to revenue and growth for wedding pros.”
James Hall & Co.
Quadient has announced a partnership with James Hall & Co., SPAR UK’s primary retailer, wholesaler, and distributor for the North of England.
Parcel Pending by Quadient lockers are being rolled out across James Hall & Co.’s G&E Murgatroyd company owned retail estate, with 37 locations already live and further deployments planned across its network of stores. These offer 24/7 access for deliveries, returns, exchanges, and item storage. They support a range of services, including prescription collection, Click and Collect, key exchange, and spare parts retrieval.
“Through the company’s SPAR stores, partnering with James Hall & Co. Ltd allows us to further embed our open locker network into the fabric of local communities across the North of England,” says Katia Bourgeais-Crémel, EVP Parcel Locker Solutions Europe at Quadient. “Convenience retail plays a critical role in everyday life, and by introducing smart, secure lockers into these locations, we are removing friction from parcel collection and returns. This partnership reflects our focus on delivering predictable, scalable last-mile solutions that benefit the entire ecosystem from carriers and retailers to consumers and store staff.”
Fiona Drummond, Company Stores Director at James Hall & Co., says: “We are committed to enhancing the role our SPAR stores play within local communities, offering services that go beyond traditional retail. Partnering with Quadient enables us to introduce a secure and convenient parcel solution that meets the evolving needs of our customers, while driving additional footfall and value for our stores. We look forward to continuing the roll-out across our estate.”
Costco Wholesale
Costco Wholesale is expanding its payments partnership with Affirm to the UK. Eligible members shopping online can now choose Affirm’s BNPL offering at checkout and split the cost of their purchases into interest free or interest bearing monthly payments.
This builds on a partnership between the pair in the US, which launched in 2025.
"Getting the best value shouldn’t stop at the price tag. It should extend to how you pay, too,” says Ruth Spratt, UK Country Manager at Affirm. Our partnership with Costco gives UK members a simpler way to spread the cost of those big shops, with greater flexibility, no late fees, and no compounding interest.”
Nobody's Child
Nobody's Child has deployed Persi technology in its e-commerce offering. In a LinkedIn post, Liv Parkes, Founder and CEO at Persi, said: “This is a retailer that was on my wish list before Persi was much more than an idea. So seeing our technology live on their website feels pretty surreal.”
She added: “When you're building something new, you're asking people to take a chance on more than just a product. You're asking them to believe in where it could go. And from our earliest conversations, Nobody’s Child did exactly that. They saw the opportunity for styling to become a much bigger part of the e-commerce experience, and trusted our small team to build it with them.”
Customers can now use Persi in two ways: PDP Style Bundle - multiple, completely shoppable ways to wear an item, whilst discovering complementary pieces complete the look; AI Stylist - personalised outfits based on their style, occasion and what they're looking for, including the ability to style something they already own.
Parkes commented: “Both helping answer one of the simplest (and most important) questions in fashion e-commerce: "I like it. But how would I wear it?" Seeing Persi live on a retailer of this scale is a VERY proud founder moment. But I'm even more grateful for the people who were willing to say yes.”
Yoti
Yoti has announced partnerships with technology providers including Diebold Nixdorf, Flooid, StrongPoint, Kestronics, and Zebra Technologies to help UK supermarkets, retailers and hospitality businesses introduce digital age checks for alcohol sales.
This follows a change in the law allowing Yoti ID and Post Office EasyID, as well as other digital IDs certified to the UK government’s Digital Verification Services (DVS) Trust Framework, to be used as proof of age when buying alcohol in licensed premises.
Diebold Nixdorf, Flooid, StrongPoint, Kestronics and Zebra Technologies provide point of sale and self-checkout technology to UK supermarkets, retail and hospitality businesses. Through the tie up, they will integrate digital ID checks into their existing systems.
For smaller independent retailers and licensed premises, Yoti has a free ID Checker mobile and web app and a partnership with Licensing Connect. The app allows staff to check that a customer’s digital proof of age is authentic and valid. More than 15,000 businesses downloaded the ID Checker app ahead of the change in law.
ALICE + OLIVIA
ALICE + OLIVIA has launched an AI powered “See Yourself in the Show” experience at the brand’s Spring 2027 New York Fashion Week presentation. This allowed attendees to see themselves in the new collection as it debuted.
The activation tapped Glance’s AI powered virtual try-on technology.
“Fashion has always been about imagination and possibility, and AI is opening up an entirely new way to bring that creativity to life,” says Stacey Bendet, Founder, CEO and Creative Director of ALICE + OLIVIA. “Partnering with Glance allowed us to blend technology and fashion in a way that feels innovative, immersive, and exciting for the future.”
“ALICE + OLIVIA is a visionary brand and one of the first names in fashion to treat a collection debut as something the audience participates in rather than watches passively,” says Naveen Tewari, Founder and CEO at InMobi and Glance. “That sense of immediacy and excitement is at the heart of Glance's AI enabled agentic commerce experience and is key to how consumers want to discover and shop for fashion today.”
M&S
Over 350 M&S Food stores now offer Too Good To Go Surprise Bags made up of surplus bakery products, giving customers the chance to collect food at a reduced price at the end of the day directly from in-store bakeries.
Too Good To Go is an app for surplus food. The national launch follows a trial in a select number of locations across the UK and is the latest move in M&S Food’s work to reduce food waste and ensure good food doesn’t go to waste. The Surprise Bags will include the likes of pastries, cookies and bread baked in-store. Each will include three to four products to a minimum retail price of £10.20 for £3.80. Customers can order them through the aforementioned app and collect them Monday to Saturday, one hour before their local store closes.
The partnership sits alongside M&S’s wider Plan A programme to halve food waste by 2030 and to help edible surplus food find its way to a dinner plate.
Lucinda Langton, Head of Sustainability at M&S Food, says: “Too Good To Go is a brilliant example of how we’re turning our commitment to reducing food waste into practical action. By giving customers access to surprise bags of surplus bakery products, we can help ensure more of our food is enjoyed. The response from our trial stores has been outstanding, and this partnership is another positive step towards our goal of halving food waste by 2030.”
PSC
Philippine Seven Corporation (PSC), the exclusive operator of 7-Eleven convenience stores in the Philippines, is utilising forecasting and replenishment from RELEX Solutions across its 27 distribution centres (DCs). The implementation is being delivered in partnership with genieX.
7-Eleven is the world’s largest convenience store chain, with over 83,000 outlets in 17 countries. In the Philippines, PSC oversees all 7-Eleven operations nationwide. By implementing RELEX’s forecasting and replenishment capabilities, it will replace its spreadsheet-based processes with automated, data driven planning to improve supplier collaboration, increase fill rates, and upgrade operational efficiency.
“For over four decades, PSC has worked to make 7-Eleven a trusted part of everyday life for Filipinos,” says Victor Paterno, Chair at Philippine Seven Corporation. “As we continue to expand and digitalise, partnering with RELEX and genieX enables us to strengthen our supply chain foundation and plan more effectively for the future.”
The Estée Lauder Companies
The Estée Lauder Companies has announced a partnership with Profound, providing it with visibility into how its brands are represented across leading generative AI platforms, as well as opportunities to optimise that representation. It becomes the first in prestige beauty to deploy Profound’s capabilities globally across the company’s full portfolio and operationalise generative engine optimisation (GEO) and AI marketing at scale.
“The way people discover beauty is being rewritten in real-time, and we intend to shape that shift rather than reacting to it,” says Aude Gandon, Global Chief Digital & Marketing Officer, The Estée Lauder Companies.
“This partnership gives every brand in our portfolio the ability to show up distinctly, consistently, and accurately wherever our consumers are asking for recommendations. Our work with Profound is a natural extension of how we already think about culture, community, and commerce working together, and it puts us at the front of an industry wide transition.”
Amazon
Amazon has launched Just Walk Out technology powered stores across venues Soldier Field, Kroger Field/Kentucky Wildcats and Spartan Stadium/Michigan State Athletics.
In a LinkedIn post, Wes Moon, Sr. Tech Business Development Manager, Just Walk Out Technology - Sports & Entertainment, Amazon, said: "We've now surpassed 400 stores globally, hundreds of these deployed across sports and entertainment venues - milestones for this game-changing tech that wouldn't be possible without game-changing partners like Levy Restaurants & Gallery."
He added: "Our focus remains on optimising the fan experience: getting fans back to their seats faster, reducing wait times, and making every visit seamless from entry to exit. Reach out if you are interested in learning how Just Walk Out technology can transform experiences at your venue."
Tesco and Uber Eats
Running through to 20th September, Tesco and Uber Eats are launching Doorbell Drops, an exclusive selection of hosting essentials available at half-price to Clubcard members.
Customers can visit the Doorbell Drops hub page for Tesco on the Uber Eats app to shop the likes of Tesco Finest All Butter Sultana Scones, alongside strawberry jam and clotted cream, Mcvities Chocolate Digestives, Président French Brie with Jacobs crackers and Tesco Green Olives with Slow Roasted Tomatoes.
Merve Basci, Uber Eats UK General Manager, says: "Unannounced visits used to be a staple of British social and community life, but the fear of being unprepared and judged for stale biscuits is driving many to hide rather than host. Whether it’s dodging in-laws or frantically scouring the fridge for something edible to serve, our new partnership with Tesco can help people ditch the ‘doorbell dread’, so that young people especially can relax and enter their hosting era with more confidence."
Suzanne Quinn, Tesco Customer Director, says: “We’re always looking for little helps that make life easier for customers, and expanding our rapid delivery service through our Uber Eats partnership is another way we’re helping the nation get what they need, when they need it. The Doorbell Deals range has been created for those moments when plans change or guests arrive at short notice, giving customers quick access to fresh food, drink, and hosting essentials, so they can conveniently pull together a delicious spread in minutes.”
The launch follows Tesco’s recent partnership with Uber Eats, with the aim of extending rapid grocery delivery, Clubcard Prices and Clubcard points to more customers across the UK.
