Next at Morrisons collect and return tie up goes live

Next has partnered with Morrisons to trial Click & Collect delivery and return pods in the latter’s supermarket car parks.

“We have created these to support our online business and help to make the customer experience even better,” Next said in a LinkedIn post.

The pods can be found at Morrisons Leominster in Herefordshire and Canvey Island in Essex.

“For me it shows that Next are putting muscle behind trying to work this out. Returns especially is still the dirty secret of online fashion,” Richard Hammond, CEO at retail tech startup Uncrowd, commented.

“I suspect too that teaming up with grocers like this has a strong element of socialising the idea of x people go past per week = increase in the ability to persuade some of those people that this is the way to collect and return for fashion.”

Missguided

Missguided recently announced a partnership with InPost which will see 180 of the latter’s UK parcel lockers branded with the pureplay’s visuals in the run up to Christmas and beyond.

The aim is to raise awareness of this contact-free delivery and returns option.

“Our customers don’t just love our cutting-edge fashion; they also prize the convenience and ease we offer when it comes to delivery and returns,” said Nick Bamber Chief Growth Officer - Marketing & E-commerce Trading at Missguided.

“We also know that this year’s Black Friday and Christmas is going to be different for everyone, with many preferring to avoid post offices and busy collection points.”

He added: “That’s why we’re collaborating with InPost and taking our brand right to the heart of our customers’ communities. It’s a great way to remind our customers that they can collect their Missguided orders safely and securely on their own watch and at their preferred collection point.”
