Six retailers and brands deploying innovative technologies

These retailers and brands are leading the way in providing technology and experiences that are one step ahead of their customers’ expectations.

1. M&S

M&S has expanded its Mobile Pay Go technology to 50 stores, following a trial across Edgware Road, Bankside, Waterside Paddington, West Hampstead, Canary Wharf and Stratford Westfield in London.

2. Danone

Danone is gearing up to roll-out a baby formula Track & Connect service.

Powered by blockchain, serialisation and aggregation technology in combination with QR code packaging, this will enable every baby formula pack to be traced back to the date and time it was produced in Danone’s factories.

3. Ikea Dubai

Ikea Dubai has unveiled a Buy With Your Time initiative. Customers can show their Google Maps timeline to in-store staff to show how long it took them to travel to the retailer’s stores, and be rewarded in turn.

4. Domino’s

Domino’s has rolled out new Pie Pass technology, allowing customers who order and pay online or via its app to skip queues and grab their orders.

5. Etsy

Etsy has completed its migration to Google Cloud. It began the project in 2018 and has since moved 5.5 petabytes of data from 2,000 on-premise servers.

6. BILLA
