LEGO seeks E-commerce Director as it preps APAC expansion

The LEGO Group is in the market for an E-commerce Director APAC.

A job spec states: “LEGO Retail is responsible for our direct-to-consumer business through LEGO brand owned channels including online (LEGO.com in 31+ countries), 620+ LEGO stores in 8+ countries as well as travel retail.”

It adds: “Global e-commerce, part of LEGO Retail, is responsible for growing LEGO.com and plays a pivotal role in the Group Commercial Strategy.”

“The LEGO.com teams are globally distributed and cover all proficiencies to operate our global digital flagship. The teams are located in London, Billund, Singapore, Sydney, Seoul, Munich and Enfield offices.”

The company currently operates in Australia, New Zealand, South Korea and Japan, and expansion plans are afoot.

Atul Bhardwaj

The LEGO Group recently appointed Atul Bhardwaj as Executive Vice President and Chief Digital & Technology Officer.

Bhardwaj joined from German consumer electronics retailer MediaMarktSaturn, where he was Executive Vice President of Logistics and Chief Technology Officer. Prior to that, he was Chief Information Officer at Tesco.

He has also served as a partner at management consultancy, Accenture. Bhardwaj will be responsible for overseeing the LEGO Group’s digital transformation strategy.
