2024 RTIH Innovation Awards: Digital Transformation Project of the Year UK category finalists announced

We’re pleased to announce the shortlist for the 2024 RTIH Innovation Awards Digital Transformation Project of the Year (UK) category.

We received a record number of submissions this year across 20+ categories and many fantastic examples of the continued resilience and dynamism of the retail space during hugely challenging times.

It’s now over to our judging panel who will decide the winners to be announced at the 2024 RTIH Innovation Awards ceremony, which will take place at RIBA’s 66 Portland Place HQ in Central London.

The event will be held on Thursday, 21st November and consist of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by comedian Lucy Porter.

Morrisons

Digital Transformation Project of the Year (UK) shortlist as follows:

This award celebrates those who are at the forefront of digital transformation in the retail space, achieved through the deployment of innovative technologies.

Our judges will be looking for a company that has delivered a significant transformation project for a customer, such as integrating disparate systems, updating legacy technology, empowering the client to create seamless and personalised shopping experiences, and unlocking new possibilities to grow the business.

Centra and Paul Smith

Centra is a headless, SaaS platform purpose built for medium to enterprise sized fashion and lifestyle brands running a direct to consumer (DTC) and/or wholesale e-commerce business and looking to grow fast, globally.  Leading fashion brands, including Paul Smith, ME + EM, Nudie Jeans and Djerf Avenue, use Centra's software to deliver next generation experiences for shoppers and wholesale buyers.

Datitude and QSA Partners

The EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) Sandbox project is a great example of using innovative technologies and methodologies to deliver better circular economy outcomes by transforming the approach to EPR in fashion/textiles.

Deliverect and One Stop

One Stop has transformed its on-demand delivery by developing Quest by Deliverect, which optimises the picking experience from when a new order is accepted to dispatch. All from one easy to use mobile platform.

Focal and Morrisons

Morrisons’ partnership with Focal Systems lead to a significant improvement in customer availability and sales and is the first AI deployment of its kind at scale within the UK.

By improving customer availability by over 2% across the entire 500 store estate using tiny on-shelf cameras combined with Focal OS, Morrisons has increased customer availability and directly reduced operational tasks whilst improving both customer and colleague satisfaction, sales performance and reducing waste and shrink.

Red Ant and Coty

Coty partnered with Red Ant to give store associates across their brands a tool to provide an exceptional customer experience that increases data capture, customer retention and order value, introducing clienteling for leading brands including Kylie Cosmetics, Orveda, Gucci and Burberry.

Xiatech and Moss

Moss, the UK formal menswear specialist, has accelerated its business transformation by using Xiatech’s integration, data management and analytics platform, Xfuze, to rapidly modernise its insights capabilities in order to increase product availability, customer satisfaction and sales.
