Grubhub goes live on Bitcoin rewards platform Lolli
Online and mobile food ordering and delivery marketplace, Grubhub, has teamed with Lolli to allow users to earn free Bitcoin back on every order.
Customers will earn $5 in Bitcoin on their first order with Grubhub, and $1 on all subsequent orders using the Lolli browser extension.
Once they earn $15 in confirmed rewards,, they can keep their Bitcoin in their Lolli wallet or transfer it to their own virtual wallet.
Alex Adelman, CEO and Co-founder, Lolli, says: “Our mission is to make Bitcoin more accessible to all and in order to do that we must make it a part of everyday life.”
“Food delivery is a ritual for many and Bitcoin rewards makes the cryptocurrency a part of that ritual. Giving users rewards on every Grubhub order is an incredible milestone for adoption, making earning Bitcoin easier and more accessible than ever.”
Bridget Scanlan, Director of Growth Marketing at Grubhub, comments: “We have reward programmes like Perks and Grubhub+, but we’re always looking to be more rewarding to our diners, and our partnership with Lolli further strengthens our commitment.”
Funding round
Earlier this year, Lolli raised $10 million in a Series A funding round led by Acrew Capital.
Banana Capital, Up North Management, and Animal Capital, the Gen. Z-focused venture capital fund founded by social media big hitters Josh Richards, Griffin Johnson, and Noah Beck, also participated.
The round also included investments from influencers and entrepreneurs such as Logan Paul, Chantel Jeffries, Lauren Riihimaki of LaurDIY, Kenny Beecham, and Baron Davis.
Lolli, which was founded in 2018, said it would use the cash to expand the company and develop its recently launched mobile app.
