Dita Von Teese takes wraps off lingerie e-commerce site
American burlesque dancer, model, fashion designer, businesswoman and author, Dita Von Teese, has launched her own lingerie website.
This is currently available in the US and Canada.
And it is coming soon to Australia, the UK and EU.
The new e-commerce site is seeking ‘glambassadors’, aka social influencers, creatives and lingeries enthusiasts, who can “provide beautiful content which embraces and empowers everyone”.
Payment options include Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal.
Von Teese’s namesake lingerie collection debuted at Bloomingdales and has since expanded to other retailers such as Nordstrom, David Jones and Glamuse.com.
She also has a luxury gloves collection, a signature hosiery line, a perfume and eyewear collection, and what is pitched as the world’s first ever striptease candle.
Glamonatrix Tour
Von Teese recently added new UK dates to her Glamonatrix tour.
She will double up at Birmingham's Alexandra Theatre and Brighton Dome on 14th and 21st March respectively, and new stops have been announced at the New Theatre in Oxford on 12th March and Bristol Hippodrome on 24th March.
Her UK and Ireland run also includes five nights at the London Palladium, along with stops in Dublin, Edinburgh and Manchester, where she'll play two dates at O2 Apollo.
Fans can expect something that’s “far from a typical burlesque show, as Dita elevates and modernises the classic 1940s variety show.”
It will feature male, female and gender fluid performers from around the world, in a celebration of body diversity.
There will also be costumes created by corset maker Mister Pearl, British designer Jenny Packham and burlesque icon Catherine D’Lish, while Von Teese and the cast will wear bespoke footwear from Christian Louboutin.
Glamonatrix follows up her The Art of the Teese show, which became the most successful burlesque tour of all time.
