Amazon UK has announced a partnership with Gopuff. Initially available to its customers in Birmingham and Salford, Gopuff will offer thousands of grocery products including alcohol and snacks, which will be delivered to by the US quick commerce big hitter in under 60 minutes, and as fast as 15 minutes, available 24/7.
Russell Jones, Director of Grocery Partnerships at Amazon, says: “Working with grocery retail partners is an important part of our offering, giving customers more choice and more convenient options to have groceries delivered from their favourite stores and brands, ordered via our website. We are excited to bring Gopuff to Amazon customers and to offer our Prime members even more savings, with free delivery on their first order over £20 and other great value discounts.”

Alberto Menolascina, Gopuff’s SVP of UK and New Business, says: “We’ve spent the past 12 years building the infrastructure needed to deliver groceries and essentials in less than 60 mins and as fast as 15 minutes, enabling us to offer customers the ultimate convenience - affordably.”
“We’re delighted to bring this shopping experience to even more customers thanks to our partnership with Amazon which, at launch, enables customers in Birmingham and Salford to conveniently access our service through their Amazon account.”
Amazon first collaborated with third-party grocery retailers in 2015 when it launched its partnership with Morrisons in the UK.
It now has tie ups with grocery retailers around the globe including Iceland and Co-op in the UK; Tegut, Knuspr, and Monoprix in Europe; Save Mart, Weis Market, Bristol Farms and Metropolitan Market in the US; Watson’s and Little Farms in Singapore; LIFE, Valor, Arcs, Marukyo and Seijo in Japan; and Lulu Group in Dubai. The UK launch of Gopuff follows recent partnerships with Knuspr in Germany and Jüsto in Mexico.
Gopuff on Amazon will be available at Amazon.co.uk/gopuff and via the Amazon app. Customers can visit Amazon.co.uk/grocery and enter their postcode to see the options available in their area.
2025 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS
Grocery delivery will be a key focus area at the 2025 RTIH Innovation Awards.
The awards, which are now open for entries, celebrate global tech innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.
Our 2024 hall of fame entrants were revealed during an event which took place at RIBA’s 66 Portland Place HQ in Central London on 21st November, and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by comedian Lucy Porter.
In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “The event is now into its sixth year and what a journey it has been. The awards started life as an online only affair during the Covid outbreak, before launching as a small scale in real life event and growing year on year to the point where we’re now selling out this fine, historic venue.”
He added: “Congratulations to all of our finalists. Many submissions did not make it through to the final stage, and getting to this point is no mean feat. Checkout-free stores, automated supply chains, immersive experiences, on-demand delivery, next generation loyalty offerings, inclusive retail, green technology. We’ve got all the cool stuff covered this evening.”
“But just importantly we’ve got lots of great examples of companies taking innovative tech and making it usable in everyday operations - resulting in more efficiency and profitability in all areas.”
Congratulations to our 2024 winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Lucy Porter, and all those who attended November's gathering.
