The Fragrance Shop teams with Uber Direct to offer rapid delivery in time for Christmas
The Fragrance Shop has announced a new partnership with Uber Direct, Uber’s white label delivery solution, ahead of the Christmas gifting season.
From September, customers will be able to get rapid delivery of fragrances from top brands within 60 minutes of placing an order. Available through The Fragrance Shop’s website and app, the service will launch across all UK stores.
Powered by the same technology and courier network that supports Uber Eats, thus offers customers real-time tracking. Orders are shipped directly from local The Fragrance Shop stores.
The partnership marks the first stage of a wider collaboration between the pair. In the coming months the retailer plans to extend the service to the Uber Eats marketplace.

Viyan Vadera, Head of E-commerce at The Fragrance Shop, says: “We want to take the stress out of shopping by giving our customers a faster and more convenient delivery option. With Uber Direct shoppers can now choose from our range of over 6,000 products and have their purchase in their hands exactly when they want it.”
“Fragrance is one of the most popular gifts at Christmas but it’s also one that’s often left until the last minute. This partnership makes gifting simpler, faster and more stress-free and forms part of our wider ambition to continually improve the shopping experience by offering greater choice, flexibility and convenience – both online and in-store.”
Bryanna O’Kelly, Head of Retail at Uber Direct UK, says: “People no longer need to worry about finding the time to buy their favourite fragrance or a last minute gift for a loved one. Instead they can now get these products delivered directly to their doorstep within an hour.”
2025 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS
Rapid delivery will be a key focus area at the 2025 RTIH Innovation Awards.
The awards. which are now open for entries, celebrate global tech innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.
Our 2024 hall of fame entrants were revealed during an event which took place at RIBA’s 66 Portland Place HQ in Central London on 21st November, and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by comedian Lucy Porter.
In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “The event is now into its sixth year and what a journey it has been. The awards started life as an online only affair during the Covid outbreak, before launching as a small scale in real life event and growing year on year to the point where we’re now selling out this fine, historic venue.”
He added: “Congratulations to all of our finalists. Many submissions did not make it through to the final stage, and getting to this point is no mean feat. Checkout-free stores, automated supply chains, immersive experiences, on-demand delivery, next generation loyalty offerings, inclusive retail, green technology. We’ve got all the cool stuff covered this evening.”
“But just importantly we’ve got lots of great examples of companies taking innovative tech and making it usable in everyday operations - resulting in more efficiency and profitability in all areas.”
Congratulations to our 2024 winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Lucy Porter, and all those who attended November's gathering.
