Buy Women Built takes over Whole Foods Market High Street Kensington store windows

Whole Foods Market reports a partnership with Buy Women Built (BWB), launching a window takeover at its High Street Kensington flagship store in London from 5am today, in celebration of female founders across the food and wellness industry.

As part of a month-long activation running until 24th March, Whole Foods Market will showcase more than 100 female founded brands across all six of its UK stores.

The High Street Kensington store will be transformed into a tribute to the women behind the brands. The large scale visual installation will bring founder stories to life, celebrating their grit, innovation and impact, with the aim of inspiring the next generation of female entrepreneurs.

Throughout March, customers will be able to discover and shop female founded brands in-store, supported by storytelling signage, in-store theatre and social amplification.

Jade Hoai, Executive Leader of Purchasing says: “At Whole Foods Market, we’re passionate about championing the entrepreneurs behind the products our customers love. Supporting female founded brands is part of our ongoing commitment to building a more diverse and innovative food and wellbeing industry.”

“By partnering with Buy Women Built and bringing these founders to the forefront of our Kensington windows and across all six of our UK stores, we’re creating meaningful visibility for the women shaping the future of food and wellness. We’re proud to provide a platform that not only celebrates their stories but also inspires the next generation of female entrepreneurs.”

Sahar Hashemi founder of Buy Women Built adds: “Visibility changes everything. When customers can see the women behind the brands –their faces, their stories, their journey - it builds connection and drives meaningful support.”

“Partnering with Whole Foods Market on this bold window takeover is a powerful statement that female founders deserve space, scale and celebration in mainstream retail. Together, we’re not just showcasing products - we’re elevating role models.”

2026 RTIH Innovation Awards

Physical stores will be a key focus area at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards.

The awards will open for entries in April. They celebrate global retail technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.

Our winners will be revealed at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards Ceremony, taking place at The HAC in Central London on Thursday, 15th October.

Check out our 2025 winners here.

Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.

In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”

“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”

He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”

Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
