Boggi Milano opens 140 stores in two month period as retailer taps XY Retail enterprise platform
Italian menswear brand Boggi Milano has opened 140 new stores across eight countries over two months, supported by XY Retail, a provider of omnichannel retail solutions.
The new stores include flagship locations in Milan’s San Babila district and New York City as well as stores in France, Italy and the US.
Boggi Milano deployed PoS, OMS and mobile PoS across all 140 new stores and is using RFID integrated with Temera for real-time inventory tracking. The retailer has also launched a special tailoring app offering bespoke garment services.
"This wasn't just an IT roll-out. It was a transformation of our entire retail ecosystem," comments Marco Benasedo, Chief Information Officer at Boggi Milano. "XY Retail gave us the speed, scale, and flexibility to meet customer expectations and expand globally."
Using XY Retail’s API first approach, Boggi Milano is now running a fully integrated retail stack across both physical and digital sales.
At La Braderie de Saint-Tropez, a major shopping event held annually in the town, Boggi Milan processed 334 orders in just a few hours.
"Boggi Milano didn't compromise," adds Susan Jeffers, CEO at XY Retail. "They demanded speed, elegance, and trust - and they got it."
Boggi Milano has been working with XY Retail since 2024. As the partnership was announced, Benasedo said: “Choosing XY Retail aligns perfectly with Boggi Milano's vision of providing a seamless and sophisticated shopping experience. Their comprehensive platform allows us to manage our operations more efficiently and cater to our customers' evolving needs.”
2025 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS
Physical stores will be a key focus area at the 2025 RTIH Innovation Awards.
The awards. which are now open for entries, celebrate global tech innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.
Our 2024 hall of fame entrants were revealed during an event which took place at RIBA’s 66 Portland Place HQ in Central London on 21st November, and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by comedian Lucy Porter.
In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “The event is now into its sixth year and what a journey it has been. The awards started life as an online only affair during the Covid outbreak, before launching as a small scale in real life event and growing year on year to the point where we’re now selling out this fine, historic venue.”
He added: “Congratulations to all of our finalists. Many submissions did not make it through to the final stage, and getting to this point is no mean feat. Checkout-free stores, automated supply chains, immersive experiences, on-demand delivery, next generation loyalty offerings, inclusive retail, green technology. We’ve got all the cool stuff covered this evening.”
“But just importantly we’ve got lots of great examples of companies taking innovative tech and making it usable in everyday operations - resulting in more efficiency and profitability in all areas.”
Congratulations to our 2024 winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Lucy Porter, and all those who attended November's gathering.
