Oliver Proudlock fronts Currys PC World ShopLive Events launch

Currys PC World has launched ShopLive Events, an initiative that aims to put some of the electrical retailer’s most popular tech to the test.

This kicks off at 6pm, with TV personality, Oliver Proudlock and his wife, model and influencer Emma Louise Connolly, competing against each other to find the best cook in the relationship.

Hosted in the Currys ShopLive Kitchen, the pilot broadcast will see the couple create their own healthy version of a takeaway classic in just 20 minutes, using only the NINJA Foodi Health Grill & Air Fryer.

They will then deliver their dish to a Currys PC World host, who will taste the final product and declare a winner.

Throughout the broadcast, product guidance and tech advice will be on offer to viewers.

Questions on the NINJA Foodi Health Grill & Air Fryer, alongside any other broader questions on healthy food tech, can be submitted during the 20-minute session via the retailer’s website.

All viewers will also be in with a chance of winning their very own NINJA Foodi Health Grill & Air Fryer and can expect to receive exclusive online special offers.

Dan Rubel, Brand and Marketing Director at Currys PC World, comments: “While our UK stores may only be open for order and collect, we are still proud to offer guidance from real life experts.”

“We want to ensure people up and down the country know all about the latest amazing tech, so we’re taking our ShopLive service a step further by launching the first of our live tech battles.”

He concludes: “These events are a fun new way for us to put our very best tech through its paces, with an expert colleague on hand offering helpful advice to the masses.”
