Wine gifting service Di-vine launches in UK with European and US markets expected in time for Christmas

Di-vine, a new shop and gifting service dedicated to luxury, personalised wine gift boxes, has announced its entry to the UK market.

Di-vine's founder and CEO is American entrepreneur, Pepper Sells. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she has spent the last 15 years working in London, during which she regularly had to purchase corporate wine gifts.

She became frustrated with the wine gifting market - a fragmented space where varied providers had individual specialties - but no single market player offered a wide choice of quality wines; with the option to personally curate your own luxury gift presentation; and deliver rapidly, even on the same day.

As her frustration with the user experience grew, she recognised the gap in the market - concluding that if you’re constantly disappointed then you should do it yourself - from which Di-vine was born.

Di-vine is pitched as both a wine shop and an experience. Customers can access a wide product range: wines (still and sparkling including champagne); red, white and rosé; and from a price range of £12-£335 per bottle.

Once wines are selected, they can choose gift packaging for bottles or opt for a pre-selected gift option. All wine gifts also come with a handwritten card.

London-based customers can receive orders on the same day, with a next-day service for all UK mainland orders.

Wine gifting service Di-vine launches in UK with European and US markets expected in time for Christmas

Di-vine has initially been in soft launch mode in the UK - based on word of mouth only - but says that “exploding consumer and corporate demand” has brought forward its formal launch. Sells plans to expand operations to Europe and the United States before the end of the year.

She comments: “I founded Di-vine after years of having to buy gifts. Other shops are out there but none let you easily and personally create your own luxury wine gift box; then deliver really quickly; and with personal handwritten cards. I used to get so frustrated! It sounds simple, but the best ideas normally are.”

“I’m a proud American who has spent many years in London and Europe. The United States is the home of top-quality rapid service and Di-vine is all about bringing that convenience and user experience. But I am an adopted Brit and European too – so know what these markets want, but lack.”

“We’ve been word of mouth in the UK initially, but demand has gone through the roof – so we’re clearly giving customers what they want. I’m delighted to now formally launch in the UK, and plan to start European and US operations in time for Christmas.”
