British steakhouse and cocktail bar Hawksmoor taps Sona workforce management solution

Hawksmoor is deploying Sona’s workforce management solution.

“I’ve been a massive Hawksmoor fan since the Shoreditch, London site opened almost 20 years ago, so I’m incredibly excited that it has chosen to partner with us and roll-out our end-to-end WFM solution,” says Steffen Wulff Petersen, Co-founder and CEO at Sona.

“I’m really excited about partnering with Sona. It’s a smarter way of working that gives our teams better tools, clearer insight, and more space to focus on what makes Hawksmoor special,” says Louisa Richards, Restaurant Director at Hawksmoor.

Popeyes UK

Earlier this year, we reported that Popeyes UK was rolling out Sona's AI powered workforce management solution (Forecasting, Productivity, Auto-Scheduling, HR and Payroll Bureau) across its estate in the UK and soon Ireland.

Wulff Petersen said: "It’s been amazing to get to know the hugely ambitious and fast moving team at Popeyes UK - it was an instant cultural fit with our team."

"Neil Williamson (COO) and his team were looking for the next generation of WFM to help drive the growth of the business and match their high bar for modern technology. Thank you for the trust Neil and we look forward to a great partnership."

As we witness a digital transformation revolution across all channels, AI tools are reshaping the omnichannel game, from personalising customer experiences to optimising inventory, uncovering insights into consumer behaviour, and enhancing the human element of retailers' businesses.

With 2025 set to be the year when AI and especially gen AI shake off the ‘heavily hyped’ tag and become embedded in retail business processes, our newly launched awards celebrate global technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world and the resulting benefits for retailers, shoppers and employees.

Our 2025 winners will be those companies who not only recognise the potential of AI, but also make it usable in everyday work - resulting in more efficiency and innovation in all areas.

Winners will be announced at an evening event at The Barbican in Central London on Thursday, 29th January. This will kick off with a drinks reception in the stunning Conservatory, followed by a three course meal, and awards ceremony in the Garden Room.
