Alibaba launches Quark AI Glasses in China powered by Qwen tech and integrated across its ecosystem

Alibaba has launched a new Quark AI Glasses series - three variants of the flagship dual display S1 and three versions of the camera first G1, available in multiple frame colors and lens options.

All models are integrated with Alibaba’s AI model Qwen and its newly launched AI application Qwen App, enabling users to access AI assistance anytime via voice commands like “Hello Qwen” or through touch controls.

They can be used across Alibaba’s ecosystem including Alipay, Amap, Taobao, Fliggy, as well as Chinese music streaming platforms like QQ Music and NetEase Cloud Music.

“AI glasses are a uniquely powerful wearable as they consist of everything we envision for an AI assistant,” says Wu Jia, Vice President at Alibaba Group.

“Looking ahead, AI glasses open the door to a revolutionary way of connecting and interacting with computers in the AI era. With Quark AI Glasses deeply integrated with Qwen, users can access Qwen anytime, anywhere, enabling the AI to connect seamlessly with the real world and deliver value at an unprecedented scale."

As we witness a digital transformation revolution across all channels, AI tools are reshaping the omnichannel game, from personalising customer experiences to optimising inventory, uncovering insights into consumer behaviour, and enhancing the human element of retailers' businesses.

With 2025 set to be the year when AI and especially gen AI shake off the ‘heavily hyped’ tag and become embedded in retail business processes, our newly launched awards celebrate global technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world and the resulting benefits for retailers, shoppers and employees.

Our 2025 winners will be those companies who not only recognise the potential of AI, but also make it usable in everyday work - resulting in more efficiency and innovation in all areas.

Winners will be announced at an evening event at The Barbican in Central London on Thursday, 29th January. This will kick off with a drinks reception in the stunning Conservatory, followed by a three course meal, and awards ceremony in the Garden Room.
