Amazon veteran Satish Guddati heads to Dave Clark's supply chain technology startup Auger
Satish Guddati has left Amazon Web Services, where he spent over 17 years, to join Auger, a supply chain technology startup founded by former Amazon executive Dave Clark, as Principal Engineer.
In a LinkedIn post, he said: "After 17+ extraordinary years, I closed a deeply meaningful chapter at Amazon ast Friday. I joined Amazon in 2008, fresh out of school, and it’s hard to overstate how transformative that journey has been, both personally and professionally."
"Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work across a wide range of domains, learning, building and operating systems at massive scale and gaining perspectives that few early in their careers are fortunate to experience. Amazon gave me not just roles, but a foundation - a mindset of ownership, a culture of relentless innovation, and the confidence to take on big, ambiguous problems with clarity and purpose."
He added: "I’m profoundly grateful to the leaders, mentors, teammates, and partners who invested in me, challenged my thinking, trusted me with hard problems, and helped shape the engineer and leader I am today.”
“There are far too many people to thank individually in a single post, but you know who you are, and I hope you know how much of an impact you’ve had on me. The people and experiences at Amazon will always be a part of who I am, and I will miss working with all of you more than I can put into words."
At Auger, he will be working on building a supply chain operating system powered by AI and designed to bring simplicity, real-time insight, and automation to global logistics.
He concluded: "This felt like a natural next step - one that builds on my professional experience building distributed AI systems that scale for real-world operations. I’m incredibly excited to work with a world class team of builders and innovators at Auger, modernising supply chains so they are smarter, more efficient, and more resilient. I’m energised by the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to this vision."

Our 2025 winners will be those companies who not only recognise the potential of AI, but also make it usable in everyday work - resulting in more efficiency and innovation in all areas.
Winners will be announced at an evening event at The Barbican in Central London on Thursday, 29th January. This will kick off with a drinks reception in the stunning Conservatory, followed by a three course meal, and awards ceremony in the Garden Room.
