Food delivery firm Just Eat gets onboard with Cheddar to offer cashback to customers
Cashback and payments app, Cheddar, has announced a new partnership with Just Eat.
The food delivery big hitter joins the likes of Trainline, Sports Direct, House of Fraser, and boohoo on the app.
The new collaboration will see Cheddar users earning up to 4% cashback on every purchase made through Just Eat, with this being made available in the app’s balance within seven days.
Users can redeem it at any time, depositing it directly into their bank account.
This follows a recent social media poll run by Cheddar, which asked followers to vote for the favourite food delivery brand they’d like to see join the app. Just Eat came out on top, winning 51% of votes, compared to Uber Eats (27%) and Deliveroo (21%).
Luke Ladyman, COO and Co-founder of Cheddar, says: “We’re really excited to add another great brand to our platform for Cheddar users to enjoy - one they chose for themselves.”
“Just Eat’s popularity speaks for itself so we’re pleased to be able to bring them even closer to their customers and offer them great insights through our cashback offering.”

Sainsbury’s
Last month, Just Eat launched a new partnership with Sainsbury’s, marking the platform’s second tie-up with one of the UK’s ‘Big Four’ grocery retailers (Asda being the first to get onboard).
The partnership will launch with more than 175 stores by the end of February in locations including London, Edinburgh and Bristol, with plans to roll-out to more cities across 2023.
Customers across the UK will be able to purchase items from Sainsbury’s via Just Eat, from fresh milk and vegetables to household essentials. The latter will then take care of the delivery, through its network of couriers across the UK.
With over 2,000 grocery sites on its platform, Just Eat says that the tie up is a significant step in its plan to further expand its grocery offer.
The partnership will widen the range of products available, starting with more than 3,000 items ready for consumers to buy online.
Just Eat Takeaway.com also works with Getir, Asda, Ahold, Carrefour, Booker, Spar, Shell, 7-Eleven, Marqt, PLUS, Pascual Group, Galp, Kibus, Taste of America, Delicatessen Argentina and The Beer Store.
