Walmart Marketplace Seller Summit brings new AI powered tools and next-day delivery expansion
At this year’s Let’s Grow! Marketplace Seller Summit, Walmart introduced new AI powered tools and incentives with the aim of helping sellers grow faster, operate more efficiently and reach more customers.
It also announced expanded next-day delivery in major US metros and enhanced omnichannel opportunities, including showcasing Marketplace items in-store.
“Walmart has become one of the fastest growing e-commerce platforms by focusing on what matters most: integrity, seller success and delivering exceptional experiences for customers,” says Manish Joneja, Senior Vice President, Walmart U.S. Marketplace and Walmart Fulfillment Services.
“Everything we’re building - from smarter tools to expanded fulfillment and global reach - is designed to accelerate seller growth and empower sellers to serve customers while driving their businesses forward.”

AI tools and capabilities include:
Single and bulk item setup tools reduce time to market and increase conversion rates, while Smart Assistant provides 24/7 real-time support.
Walmart Seller Advisors Programme, spanning categories, regions and business sizes, provides a direct line of feedback to Walmart leaders. Their feedback and insights help co-create impactful programmes and solutions.
Sellers who self-fulfill can automate delivery promises by region, offering customers more delivery promises.
Elsewhere, Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) now offers expanded next-day delivery coverage across top US cities, including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Houston and Atlanta. Sellers have access to reach customers across multiple marketplaces, including the US, Canada, Mexico and Chile, while tapping into tools like Walmart Connect 3P Sponsored Ads to help boost visibility and sales.
Finally, in April, Walmart opened its new Cypress, Texas, location, which features digital QR codes throughout the store. These codes allow customers to access digital tools, services and an extended online assortment. Walmart is bringing the extended Marketplace aisle into stores, starting with a few items on display. Customers can purchase through the retail giant’s app and there’s also the option to have their items professionally installed.
