Haypp Group brings in May Pan as its new E-Commerce Director and UK Business Unit Manager
Haypp Group, an online retailer of alternative nicotine products, has appointed May Pan as its new E-Commerce Director and UK Business Unit Manager.
In the newly created role, Pan will oversee the expansion of Haypp Group’s UK business, with a focus on improving e-commerce performance and implementing an omnichannel approach.
Bringing more than 15 years of experience in e-commerce, Pan has previously worked with brands including Diageo, PepsiCo and Pizza Hut. She plans to create a “premium consumer experience” online to help boost sales.
She will also have responsibility for digital strategies and operations in the UK, building strategic partnerships and working with the Haypp HQ tea in Stockholm, Sweden.
“Haypp is a major global retailer and is expanding rapidly. This role is an incredibly exciting opportunity to put my 15 years of experience to the test,” Pan says. “We have some big targets, but I’m confident that the Haypp team has the skills and attitude needed to go the extra mile and deliver on our ambitions.”
Markus Lindblad, Head of Legal and External Affairs at Haypp, adds: “We’re delighted to welcome May Pan to Haypp Group. Her extensive experience and proven track record in e-commerce and digital transformation will be invaluable as we continue to expand our presence and deliver a premium experience to our customers in the UK market.”
The news follows shortly after Haypp Group announced the appointment of Lars-Johan Jarnheimer as Chairman of the board of directors.
Jarnheimer was previously Chairman at Ingka Group (Ikea), a position he has held since 2015. He has been Chairman at Telia Company since 2019, and is also Chairman at Arvid Nordquist HAB, Elite Hotels, and Grimaldi Industri. He was previously CEO at Tele2, and held senior positions at Milicom, Comviq and H&M.
2025 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS
E-commerce will be a key focus area at the 2025 RTIH Innovation Awards.
The awards, which are now open for entries, celebrate global tech innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.
Our 2024 hall of fame entrants were revealed during an event which took place at RIBA’s 66 Portland Place HQ in Central London on 21st November, and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by comedian Lucy Porter.
In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “The event is now into its sixth year and what a journey it has been. The awards started life as an online only affair during the Covid outbreak, before launching as a small scale in real life event and growing year on year to the point where we’re now selling out this fine, historic venue.”
He added: “Congratulations to all of our finalists. Many submissions did not make it through to the final stage, and getting to this point is no mean feat. Checkout-free stores, automated supply chains, immersive experiences, on-demand delivery, next generation loyalty offerings, inclusive retail, green technology. We’ve got all the cool stuff covered this evening.”
“But just importantly we’ve got lots of great examples of companies taking innovative tech and making it usable in everyday operations - resulting in more efficiency and profitability in all areas.”
Congratulations to our 2024 winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Lucy Porter, and all those who attended November's gathering.
