Antonio Colicchio departs Abercrombie & Fitch and announces launch of returns focused company
Antonio Colicchio has left Abercrombie & Fitch Co., where he spent almost ten years, most recently serving as VP Returns, Fraud & Abuse.
Colicchio, who has also worked at Victoria’s Secret and DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse, is now launching a new venture to help retailers reduce and optimise returns.
In a LInkedIn post, he said: “After an incredible nine-year journey, I'm excited to announce that I have left my role at Abercrombie & Fitch to pursue a new venture, The Returns Guy.”
“It has been an absolute honour to be part of an organisation that has achieved such remarkable success. I am immensely proud to have played a part in contributing to Abercrombie & Fitch's record sales and profitability results.”
He added: “During my time there, I was fortunate to have been given the trust and opportunity to grow beyond my initial responsibilities. In addition to leading the Global Customer Care and Digital Fraud teams, I had the privilege of establishing a new Automation Centre of Excellence and launching a new department dedicated to reducing returns fraud and abuse.”
Colicchio added: “While the many results are a great source of pride, the thing I'm most proud of is playing a role in the professional growth and career progression of my incredible team members. Their hard work, dedication, and talent are what made our achievements possible.”
“The experience at Abercrombie & Fitch has been invaluable, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunities and relationships I built. As I embark on this next chapter, I'm excited to share details about The Returns Guy. If you share my interest and passion in reducing retail returns, then I welcome your attention and feedback on forthcoming posts on the subject.”
2025 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS
Returns will be a key focus area at the 2025 RTIH Innovation Awards.
The awards. which are now closed for entries with our finalists and shortlists being announced last week, celebrate global tech innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.
Our 2024 hall of fame entrants were revealed during an event which took place at RIBA’s 66 Portland Place HQ in Central London on 21st November, and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by comedian Lucy Porter
In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “The event is now into its sixth year and what a journey it has been. The awards started life as an online only affair during the Covid outbreak, before launching as a small scale in real life event and growing year on year to the point where we’re now selling out this fine, historic venue.”
He added: “Congratulations to all of our finalists. Many submissions did not make it through to the final stage, and getting to this point is no mean feat. Checkout-free stores, automated supply chains, immersive experiences, on-demand delivery, next generation loyalty offerings, inclusive retail, green technology. We’ve got all the cool stuff covered this evening.”
“But just importantly we’ve got lots of great examples of companies taking innovative tech and making it usable in everyday operations - resulting in more efficiency and profitability in all areas.”
Congratulations to our 2024 winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Lucy Porter, and all those who attended November's gathering.
