QVC UK and TikTok Shop team up for ten hour live shopping broadcast on Black Friday Eve

Live shopping specialist QVC UK is teaming up with TikTok Shop for a ten hour live broadcast on Thursday, 27th November, the day before Black Friday - or Black Friday Eve.

Streaming directly from QVC UK’s glass fronted studio at its Chiswick HQ, the event will run from 10:00 to 20:00, allowing shoppers to tune in via its TikTok channel (@qvcuk) or scan and shop through QR codes displayed at the venue.

The broadcast will include co-hosting duties by presenters Molly Squire and Jess Woods as they bring Neom, Elemis, bareMinerals, Le Creuset, Ninja and other premium brands to their Black Friday Eve event.

It will feature QVC UK presenters showcasing and demonstrating products throughout the day, joined by buyers from the company to share why these are great products, with exclusive offers and flash sales running live on TikTok Shop.

Since launching on TikTok Shop in March 2025, QVC UK says it has delivered more than 50 live streams and attracted over 10,000 new shoppers, while also re-engaging long standing customers who have followed the brand for years. Highlights include a fashion launch with Dannii Minogue and QVC’s most successful TikTok Live to date with Elemis, which doubled previous best seller records.

Following a pilot on the platform in 2025, QVC UK is now expanding its investment leading into 2026.

Jan Wilk, Head of TikTok Shop UK, says: “With 30+ years of live shopping experience, QVC UK helped define how we shop on screen, and it’s brilliant to see their legacy evolve on TikTok Shop. Together this Black Friday we’re showing how live shopping continues to adapt and thrive by connecting brands and audiences in real-time in a whole new innovative and experiential way.”

Robyn Cooke, Social Commerce Lead, QVC UK, says: "As a trusted brand, QVC UK has pioneered the live shopping experience on TV through the power of human connection, entertaining and credible storytelling with curated products for over three decades. Joining TikTok Shop allows us to bring that same excitement and trust to a new generation of customers, meeting them where they already are, as part of our commitment to putting the customer first.”

2025 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS

Live shopping was a key focus area at the 2025 RTIH Innovation Awards.

VoCoVo, Everseen, Sensei, Gander, Iceland, Olio, Trust Retail, East of England Co-op, Lekkerland SE, Poq, Mamas & Papas, Varner, Sitoo, and Zebra Technologies were among our winners this year.

We received a record number of entries and many fantastic examples of the continued resilience and dynamism of the retail space during hugely challenging times.

Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC in Central London on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.

In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”

“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”

He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”

Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
