2024 RTIH Innovation Awards: Global Tech Implementation of the Year finalists include Jisp and Zippin
We’re pleased to announce the shortlist for the 2024 RTIH Innovation Awards Global Technology Implementation of the Year category.
We received a record number of submissions this year across 20+ categories and many fantastic examples of the continued resilience and dynamism of the retail space during hugely challenging times.
It’s now over to our judging panel who will decide the winners to be announced at the 2024 RTIH Innovation Awards ceremony, which will take place at RIBA’s 66 Portland Place HQ in Central London.
The event will be held on Thursday, 21st November and consist of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by comedian Lucy Porter.

Global Technology Implementation of the Year shortlist as follows:
This award recognises UK retail technology project excellence, both in delivery and outcomes. Implementation should have been completed between October 2023 and October 2024. Judges will be looking for clear project objectives, effective and innovative implementation and tangible and demonstrable results.
Dynamic Yield by Mastercard and Electrolux
Electrolux embarked on a personalisation journey with Dynamic Yield by Mastercard’s Experience OS.The brand rolled out a global programme to personalise 63 domains, displaying products based on regional popularity and availability and seamlessly managing local discounts, currencies, and images for three of Electrolux’s brands in 21 markets and six languages.
Nextail and FootGear
The case study of Footgear, a South African multi-brand footwear retailer, highlights the transformative impact of Nextail's AI driven, fashion-specific demand forecasting and automation. Within six months, Footgear improved inventory management by breaking down data silos and adopting more flexible, scalable merchandising processes.
GoWit and Koçtaş
GoWit, an AdTech company, partnered with Kingfisher’s joint venture Koçtaş to implement and scale its omnichannel retail media infrastructure.
Jisp
One of the key challenges in implementing Jisp’s Scan & Win across multiple countries was mapping location coordinates to accurately track shopper interactions, considering international borders, provinces, and different time zones. Ensuring legal compliance with varying national regulations was another hurdle, especially concerning data privacy and communication laws.
Jumpmind and The Vitamin Shoppe
Over the past year, The Vitamin Shoppe embarked on a transformation of its in-store experience across nearly 700 locations. The omnichannel specialty retailer of nutrition products partnered with Jumpmind to modernise its in-store PoS technology and omnichannel promotions strategy.
Proximity and Helzberg Diamonds
The successful implementation of Proximity’s Retail Super-App into Helzberg stores earlier this year has transformed its customer service by providing associates with a unified view of client data, enabling personalised interactions and stronger engagement.
Sitoo and Varner
Sitoo is a cloud native PoS and unified commerce platform designed for global retailers. It connects in-store and online sales channels, providing real-time data for inventory management, customer orders, and cross-channel sales.
Zippin and Fujitsu
Zippin and Fujitsu, in partnership with Sodexo Live!, launched France’s first checkout-free store at the 2024 French Open, transforming a historic building into an autonomous retail space.
