AliExpress looks to trade blows with Amazon, Temu, Shein and eBay via best price guarantee move
Alibaba owned AliExpress is taking on its rivals, such as Amazon, with a new Best Price Guarantee scheme.
The online retail marketplace says it will match over 1,500 branded products on Amazon, Temu, Shein and eBay.
Consumers can shop for items in the Brand+ channel marked with Best Price Guarantee on the product page. If they can find a lower price on another designated e-commerce platform, within seven days of purchase, AliExpress will refund the difference.
Bonnie Zhao, AliExpress UK’s General Manager, says: “We are constantly investing to improve the shopping experience for our customers by providing them with high quality, top brands at competitive prices, delivered quickly.”
“That is why we are making Brand+ available across over 1,500 brands, with more to come on the AliExpress platform. We continue to give customers the widest possible choice of great value, branded products.”

On demand delivery
Earlier this year, AliExpress launched an hourly UK delivery service for household products, food, and beverages.
As a result, customers in Greater London could order via the AliExpress app and get same-day delivery. The service is set to expand to other UK cities this year.
Hungry Panda, a grocer and delivery service, was the first to launch its product range on AliExpress. A curated collection of daily essentials, drinks, snacks and cupboard staples is now available for hourly delivery, including Coca-Cola, instant noodles and toilet paper.
AliExpress also announced that the platform was now open for local suppliers and businesses to join, supported by a streamlined onboarding process, one to one operational support and a discounted commission fee.
For consumers, this means faster delivery on a wider selection of products, including furniture, large lighting, garden accessories, kitchen gadgets, and more. Orders shipped locally can be delivered within three days at the earliest.
2025 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS
On demand delivery was a key focus area at the 2025 RTIH Innovation Awards.
We received a record number of entries and many fantastic examples of the continued resilience and dynamism of the retail space during hugely challenging times.
For a full rundown of all of the shortlisted entries, click here.
Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC in Central London on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.
In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”
“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”
He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”
Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
