Just Eat Takeaway.com expands CeX partnership with go live in Ireland and Spain markets
Just Eat Takeaway.com reports a global expansion of its retail partnership with second-hand gaming and electronics retailer CeX.
Following a launch in the UK earlier this year, the service is launching in Ireland with 36 CeX stores available on the Just Eat app, and simultaneously expanding into Spain, where 62 CeX stores are now available.
These locations join the network of 376 CeX stores already selling on the Just Eat platform across the UK.
“The success of our partnership with CeX in the UK proved that our customers want instant access to a diverse range of products, especially in the growing tech and electronics categories,” says Pete Chong, Global Head of Retail at Just Eat Takeaway.com.
“By expanding our collaboration, we're not only giving thousands of users the ability to do their holiday gift shopping or instantly replace a broken charger, but we’re also making it easier for them to choose a sustainable, cost-effective option. This is a game-changer partnership for on-demand retail in Europe.”
“We’re delighted to expand the reach of CeX to millions more Just Eat customers, making it even faster for them to get the tech treats on demand. Just Eat customers can now enjoy the most popular CeX products and quality items, all covered by CeX’s unrivalled free five year warranty, all straight to your door in under 60 minutes,” says David Butler, CeX Director.
“With over 30 years retail experience, we know our tech and are excited to be innovators in offering convenient access to the best loved entertainment products now across Ireland and Spain on the back of success in the UK.”
The tie up is set to continue its expansion in 2026, with plans to launch in more markets.
2025 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS
On demand delivery was a key focus area at the 2025 RTIH Innovation Awards.
We received a record number of entries and many fantastic examples of the continued resilience and dynamism of the retail space during hugely challenging times.
For a full rundown of all of the shortlisted entries, click here.
Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC in Central London on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.
In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”
“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”
He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”
Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
