First for Mowgli as Indian cuisine specialist agrees exclusive delivery tie up with Uber Eats
Mowgli has announced an exclusive partnership with Uber Eats making the Indian cuisine specialist, founded by former barrister and TV chef, Nisha Katona, available for delivery for the first time in its ten year history.
Founded in Liverpool in 2014, Mowgli now has 27 restaurants. Until now, its dishes have only been available in said restaurants.
CEO Lucy Worth says: “Mowgli is about more than just food - it’s about togetherness, generosity, and the joy of sharing dishes that feel alive with flavour and soul. For years, our guests have asked when Mowgli would be available for delivery.”
“Today, thanks to our exclusive partnership with Uber Eats, we can finally bring that experience home. I am so proud that our guests across the UK will now be able to enjoy Mowgli wherever they are.”
Matthew Price, Regional General Manager of UKI and Northern Europe at Uber Eats, says: “We’re thrilled to welcome Mowgli exclusively to Uber Eats. This much-loved national brand underscores our momentum, and we’re focused on helping them grow their business and reach new customers.”
“At the same time, consumers continue to turn to us for the unrivalled selection, real value and reliability we offer. As the UK’s leading and fastest growing delivery platform, we’re proud to be the first choice for restaurants and customers alike.”
Mowgli is available on Uber Eats from this week, rolling out across Beverley, Birmingham, Bridgend, Brighton, Bristol, Bury St Edmunds, Cardiff, Chelmsford, Cheltenham, Cheshire Oaks, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Knutsford, Leeds, Leicester, Lincoln, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich, Nottingham, Oxford, Preston and Sheffield.
2025 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS
On demand delivery will be a key focus area at the 2025 RTIH Innovation Awards.
The awards. which are now closed for entries with our finalists and shortlists being announced this week, celebrate global tech innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.
Our 2024 hall of fame entrants were revealed during an event which took place at RIBA’s 66 Portland Place HQ in Central London on 21st November, and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by comedian Lucy Porter
In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “The event is now into its sixth year and what a journey it has been. The awards started life as an online only affair during the Covid outbreak, before launching as a small scale in real life event and growing year on year to the point where we’re now selling out this fine, historic venue.”
He added: “Congratulations to all of our finalists. Many submissions did not make it through to the final stage, and getting to this point is no mean feat. Checkout-free stores, automated supply chains, immersive experiences, on-demand delivery, next generation loyalty offerings, inclusive retail, green technology. We’ve got all the cool stuff covered this evening.”
“But just importantly we’ve got lots of great examples of companies taking innovative tech and making it usable in everyday operations - resulting in more efficiency and profitability in all areas.”
Congratulations to our 2024 winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Lucy Porter, and all those who attended November's gathering.
