Exotec boosts leadership team with new Chief People Officer and Executive VP of Finance appointments
Exotec, a specialist in warehouse robotics, has announced two key executive appointments.
Renata Spada joins as Chief People Officer, while Aurelie Clerquin has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Finance.
The appointments come as Exotec looks to accelerate its global footprint - particularly in the United States - by investing in talent development and performance management frameworks.
Expanding beyond its European origins is central to its long-term growth strategy, and both Spada and Clerquin bring experience from global organisations.
Clerquin was previously Head of Financial Planning & Analysis within the company’s finance team. Before joining Exotec, Clerquin spent ten years at bio-pharma company Roquette, where she held several senior finance roles, including Head of Commercial & Corporate Controlling.
Spada has held leadership roles at French energy companies Engie and EDF, and international firms Price Waterhouse, Lafarge, and Snap-on Tools.
At Engie, Spada most recently served as Group Vice President for Talent Acquisition, Employer Branding, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), overseeing a global hiring scope of more than 16,000 recruits annually.
Clerquin says: “After two years of rapid growth in the company, I am honoured to continue my journey at Exotec to contribute even more to achieving our strategic ambitions.”
“My priorities are guiding us towards our long-term goal of an initial public offering, and ensuring we continue capitalising on the growth markets, like the US, that we’re already benefiting from. I'm confident that I can leverage the team's talents to drive innovation, performance, and value creation.”
Spada says: “I’m thrilled to join Exotec at such a pivotal moment of global growth, where innovation and inclusion go hand in hand. The company’s industry leading product and strong cultural foundation offer an incredible platform to build on.”
“My focus will be on expanding that culture internationally, attracting top talent, and crafting a strategy that empowers people across borders. I’m committed to shaping a performance driven culture that aligns individual growth with business success. I’ve always believed that diversity drives excellence, and I’m proud to be part of a company that places people at the heart of its transformation.”
2025 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS
Supply chain automation was a key focus area at the 2025 RTIH Innovation Awards.
We received a record number of entries and many fantastic examples of the continued resilience and dynamism of the retail space during hugely challenging times.
For a full rundown of all of the shortlisted entries, click here.
Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC in Central London on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.
In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”
“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”
He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”
Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
