DAC Group snags local first SEO brief from Kingfisher as retailer looks to improve online visibility

DAC Group has been appointed by Kingfisher to improve online visibility as it seeks to increase e-commerce sales and in-store footfall for its DIY brands in the UK and Ireland, B&Q, Screwfix and Tradepoint.

DAC has been tasked to deliver local SEO and online reputation management for Kingfisher’s largest retail brands.

Graham Ridley, Head of SEO at Kingfisher, says: “It is often a business imperative that our customers are able to source a specific product quickly and efficiently.”

“DAC’s local first approach to SEO really stood out when we were looking for a partner to manage our business listings and will allow us to provide a seamless omnichannel experience.”

“This will ensure people can find what they need, whenever and wherever they are working through our network of over 1,190 stores across the UK and Ireland.

Kingfisher also gains access to DAC Group’s reputation management platform that enables it to engage with feedback from customer reviews, while integrating local SEO with other channels.

Mike Fantis, VP, Managing Partner of DAC Group UK, comments: “Siloed SEO and PPC activity won’t deliver transformational business growth so we’re delighted to be partnering with a business that thinks bigger.”

“They understand the need for a total search strategy, which encompasses organic and paid search optimisation, alongside local SEO and customer reviews.”

Kingfisher also recognises the value of reputation management. Trusted relationships are all-important in a segment in which failure to get hold of a particular part or product can hold up a project, or impact profitably.”

“We look forward to working with Kingfisher to help them reinforce those relationships at a branch level.”
