RTIH AI in Retail Awards UK Data Analytics finalists include EE and HyperFinity
We’re pleased to announce the shortlist for the RTIH AI in Retail Awards Data Analytics (UKI) category.
This category shines a spotlight on AI driven approaches to data analysis and insight generation within UKI retail.
We’re looking for solutions that help retailers turn vast amounts of data into actionable strategies, whether through customer segmentation, demand forecasting, product optimisation, or real-time decision-making. Entries should demonstrate how data analytics powered by AI is helping retailers deliver measurable business improvements.
Congratulations to all those who made it through the initial submission process. We received a huge number of impressive entries highlighting companies who not only recognise the potential of AI, but also make it usable in everyday work - resulting in more efficiency and innovation in all areas.
It’s now over to our judging panel who will decide the winners to be announced at the RTIH AI in Retail Awards Ceremony, taking place at The Barbican in Central London on Thursday, 29th January.
This will kick off with a drinks reception in the stunning Conservatory, followed by a three course meal, and awards ceremony in the Garden Room, presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Lucy Porter.

Our runners and riders:
Amperity
Amperity was founded to help brands turn complex customer data into business value. Using advanced AI, it unifies fragmented customer data to create complete profiles.
Retailers can then segment customers, predict future behaviour, and take action in real- time, driving measurable business results. With better data, brands can identify high value audiences, personalise experiences, and make smarter, real-time decisions that drive measurable business results.
B&Q and FoundIt!
B&Q's expansion to two million marketplace products created a discovery crisis - customers couldn't find products, conversion declined.
FoundIt deployed AI powered intent led navigation designed to predict what customers were trying to find and buy as they journeyed across the website. The AI mined hundreds of millions of rows of analytics data from Google Analytics, search, advertising, pathing behaviour, sales and site crawls to dynamically curate intend-led journeys across 1.9 million products and pages.
Data reprocessed nightly ensured continuous adaptation to trends, stock, and seasonal demand. Results: 72% conversion improvement, 112% more revenue per user, 24% AOV lift.
Eagle Eye
Eagle Eye’s AI powered Personalised Challenges solution enables retailers to execute, one to one personalisation at massive scale, driving measurable behavioural change and delivering a 7:1 ROI.
Through gamified, multi-step promotions tailored to each customer, the solution guarantees incremental spend by rewarding only profitable behaviour. Designed for seamless integration with existing tech stacks, it delivers immediate business impact without the need for PoS changes.
Personalised Challenges represents a new standard in retail AI, offering tangible value to retailers, suppliers, and customers alike, transforming traditional promotions into precision targeted, performance driven customer engagement.
EE
EE transformed its budgeting approach by replacing static weekly shop budgets with dynamic, demand driven forecasts. Using Google Cloud’s machine learning and AI recommendations, it analysed three years of historic data to create tailored seasonal budgets for each shop.
These budgets were integrated into its analytics tool, ‘My Store’, enabling leaders to make smarter staffing decisions, offering overtime or encouraging leave based on real-time customer demand. This innovation improved operational efficiency, empowered store teams, and aligned resources with customer needs, driving better outcomes across the business.
Galvia AI
Galvia is transforming decision-making at Irish retailer Petstop. While Petstop had plenty of data, they lacked a way to connect, understand, and act on it. Galvia built a domain specific connected intelligence platform that unifies data into real-time insights and actions.
One key insight was cohort analysis, revealing that existing customers drove significantly more revenue than new ones, highlighting low long-term ROI from acquisition channels like Google Ads. Acting on this, Petstop launched personalised campaigns that reversed a 2.5% revenue dip without paid ads. Cohort analysis is just one example of the platform’s value and its broader retail potential.
HyperFinity
HyperFinity helps retailers make the most of their data using analytics and AI.
It recently supported Toolstation with a marketing and customer loyalty challenge using a combination of AI powered software and services. The project uncovered a £2.8 million revenue opportunity, with Toolstation’s Customer, Marketing & Digital Director Chris Other describing the work as a “game-changer”.
Retail Insight
Retail Insight turns complex store data into real-time, AI powered decisions that drive profitable, sustainable retail at scale.
The platform combines predictive and real-time analytics to automate shelf-edge execution, eliminate phantom inventory, reduce food waste and deliver clear, measurable ROI.
Vaayu
Retail companies have access to vast amounts of data but lack the tools to process it and then take meaningful action. Fragmented systems, inaccessible supply chain inputs and slow, spend-based reporting made it nearly impossible to surface granular, product-level environmental insights.
As customer demand for sustainability transparency grew, alongside legislative pressures such as CSRD and ESPR, the ability to accurately analyse, interpret and apply impact data became essential. However, most AI tools failed to deliver industry specific insights, particularly around Scope 3 emissions and complex global supply chains.
Retailers needed not just analysis, but real-time guidance to model alternatives and make smarter business decisions. Vaayu was created to bridge this gap, harnessing AI to unify, automate and operationalise impact data, enabling retailers to reduce their footprint while improving business efficiency, traceability and trust.

Pinpoynt.ai transforms anonymous mobile location data into real-time retail insight. The AI platform gives retailers powerful footfall analytics, customer segmentation, and transactional behaviour insights, without reliance on WiFi, cameras, or beacons.
Built on machine learning models trained across thousands of retail environments, Pinpoynt delivers actionable strategies for store performance, high street revitalisation, and targeted marketing.
Retailers using Pinpoynt gain competitive advantage by seeing how people move, dwell, and transact - with no invasive tracking. Its solutions help retailers and councils alike drive customer engagement, optimise portfolios, and quantify local economic health with unprecedented clarity.
