Snappy Shopper lays claim to £40k sales growth for two North West physical stores in first month
Snappy Shopper, a UK-based Q-commerce technology platform for independent retailers, reports the launch of home delivery services across two North West stores, generating nearly 2,000 orders, £40,000 in sales and over 1,000 new customers in their first month.
By leveraging Snappy Shopper’s technology, Premier Gidlow Lane (Wigan) and Raja Bros (Mossley) have enhanced their delivery services, now offering fast and reliable delivery to customers in as little as 30 minutes.
“Delivery has opened up a whole new customer base for us,” says Kanagasabi Kayanthan, owner of both stores. “Partnering with Snappy Shopper has allowed us to grow sales quickly and reach more people locally. The technology makes it easy to manage, and the marketing support has been invaluable in building awareness and driving orders.”
To kickstart their home delivery services, both stores launched with customer offers and a local marketing plan, including leaflet drops, spin-the-wheel promotions and giveaways ranging from goody bags to a Nintendo Switch. These initiatives have been supported by Snappy Shopper’s platform promotions to drive customer engagement and loyalty.
As part of the launch, the retailer has also tapped Snappy Shopper’s on-the-go marketing strategy, with a branded car wrap providing visibility in the community.

“We’re delighted to welcome Kanagasabi and his stores to the platform,” says Mike Callachan, CEO at Snappy Shopper. “Nearly 2,000 orders in the first month is a fantastic achievement and a great example of how independent retailers can accelerate growth, expand their reach and maintain a strong local presence with the right technology and marketing support.”
Kanagasabi has operated Premier Gidlow Lane AMPM for four years and Raja Bros Mossley for one year, supported by store managers Thevaniranjan Viththiyasegar and Prasad Manickam.
2025 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS
Quick commerce will be a key focus area at the 2025 RTIH Innovation Awards.
The awards. which are now open for entries, celebrate global tech innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.
Our 2024 hall of fame entrants were revealed during an event which took place at RIBA’s 66 Portland Place HQ in Central London on 21st November, and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by comedian Lucy Porter.
In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “The event is now into its sixth year and what a journey it has been. The awards started life as an online only affair during the Covid outbreak, before launching as a small scale in real life event and growing year on year to the point where we’re now selling out this fine, historic venue.”
He added: “Congratulations to all of our finalists. Many submissions did not make it through to the final stage, and getting to this point is no mean feat. Checkout-free stores, automated supply chains, immersive experiences, on-demand delivery, next generation loyalty offerings, inclusive retail, green technology. We’ve got all the cool stuff covered this evening.”
“But just importantly we’ve got lots of great examples of companies taking innovative tech and making it usable in everyday operations - resulting in more efficiency and profitability in all areas.”
Congratulations to our 2024 winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Lucy Porter, and all those who attended November's gathering.
