'A hell of an experience': Head of E-commerce Lauren Nicole Muir set to depart Oh Polly next month

Lauren Nicole Muir is leaving online fashion retailer Oh Polly where she spent just over five years and held the role of Head of E-Commerce.

In that position, she lead the strategic direction and performance of the global e-commerce business across multiple Shopify Plus storefronts.

She oversaw trading, digital merchandising, CRO, and the end-to-end site experience, working closely with development, marketing, and buying teams. Her role included managing third-party vendors, driving technical projects, optimising international growth, and delivering data led reporting to senior stakeholders to ensure commercial targets were met.

In a LinkedIn post, Muir, who did not reveal her next move, said: "After five incredible years at Oh Polly & Bo+Tee, it’s time to say goodbye to the place that has been such a huge part of my life and look ahead to a new chapter."

"When I joined back in the trenches of 2020’s Covid lockdown, I could never have imagined what would lie ahead. Scaling up to nine figures, launching into new markets, a whole lot of transformation projects and seeing the brands grow into the global powerhouses they are today. I feel massively privileged to have worked alongside such talented, passionate people and to have played a part in building something as special as we have. It’s been a ride!"

"I’m finishing up my time here on 3rd October so I have a little over a month left to hand everything over, then I’ll be taking some time to pause, recharge, and reflect before diving into whatever comes next. I also need to say a huge thank you to everyone I’ve worked with along the way. This has been a hell of an experience and I’ll always be grateful for it, and for the people I’ve met, including some that I know will be friends for life."

2025 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS

E-commerce will be a key focus area at the 2025 RTIH Innovation Awards.

The awards. which are now open for entries, celebrate global tech innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.

Our 2024 hall of fame entrants were revealed during an event which took place at RIBA’s 66 Portland Place HQ in Central London on 21st November, and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by comedian Lucy Porter.

In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “The event is now into its sixth year and what a journey it has been. The awards started life as an online only affair during the Covid outbreak, before launching as a small scale in real life event and growing year on year to the point where we’re now selling out this fine, historic venue.”

He added: “Congratulations to all of our finalists. Many submissions did not make it through to the final stage, and getting to this point is no mean feat. Checkout-free stores, automated supply chains, immersive experiences, on-demand delivery, next generation loyalty offerings, inclusive retail, green technology. We’ve got all the cool stuff covered this evening.”

“But just importantly we’ve got lots of great examples of companies taking innovative tech and making it usable in everyday operations - resulting in more efficiency and profitability in all areas.”

Congratulations to our 2024 winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Lucy Porter, and all those who attended November's gathering.
